I recently started using the greasemonkey extension on firefox and i only have the rapidshare script that tells you whether the link is dead or not. i was just curious as to any other scripts that i should use.

One I use is Interceptor which relaces TinyURLs with the domain of the actual web site using the preview feature.

I also use the Google Image Relinker and Yahoo Image Relinker to point straight to the pics when doing image searches...rather than the annoying framed page.

Another I use is a Yahoo Redirect Remover so if I do a Yahoo Search, it removes redirects.

Then there is the script I have for forums so that when people post really huge pictures in posts, it resizes them so that there is no more scrolling horizontally. I got so tired of huge pics messing up my whole screen. This works pretty good to avoid that.

Last but not least is not so much a script but an additional extension for Firefox that works with Greasemonkey. It creates scripts for you. But here's the description from their site.

Platypus is a Firefox extension which lets you modify a Web page from your browser -- "What You See Is What You Get" -- and then save those changes as a Greasemonkey script so that they'll be repeated the next time you visit the page. Editing pages to suit your needs is dandy -- but making those changes "permanent" is the real payoff.

I've not done a lot with it. But what little I have done, I like. I've used it to hide things my kid doesn't need to see when certain parts of sites are acceptable but others are not. Things like that though, I generally don't save because it's not often that that happens.

N2, I got it from userscripts.org, it's titled Yan's Code pwnage, when you actually load it but when I found it, it's was titled Image Reizerer or something strange. That's why I didn't link to it. But, if you don't actually wanna dig for it on userscripts like I did and am now too lazy to do to find it again, here's the complete code:

It's supposed to work on all pages. I've never actually tried to put a code snippet in on my own though. Obviously it makes the image on 75 percent of the screen width which is a huge help. And I've only had one forum where it kinda messed something up. It was the header. All it did was shrink the banner at the top of the screen that shouldn't be shrunk. But I live with it.

I will say that is the best Script site I have ever seen!! They have some really good RapidShare ones on there. And the one that cuts off MySpace music is a good one too.

I highly recommend that site!
