R.I.P. Norman Borlaug
Hardly any of you probably even know who he is, but you should. A man credited with saving over 245 million lives died today.

I've heard closer to a billion lives, but it's hard to count with any accuracy.
What blows me away is that he helped India and Pakistan go from famine to food-surplus nations, and did it while they were at war with each other.
What really blows me away is that for the one guy who really deserved a comfortable retirement, complete with teams of experts to figure out new ways to be nice to him, he kept working his ass off until the end.

There is an episode of Penn and Teller's Bullshit that speaks highly of him.

That's where I first heard of him, and ever since I've looked up to the guy and admired him

Is 1000 million greater or less than 1 billion.

Thanks Gallow737 for an interesting and uplifting thread. I found this very interesting information.
I think there is a lot of unsung heroes in the world that never get the press or the gratitude that we all owe them.
Thanks man.
