I love the Led, and I think Bonham is a great drummer. But hell, I was playing Led on the drums when I was 10. Bonham only played in 4/4. Once I started playing Neil Pert and trying to play 7/14th (Tom Sawyer) or the Carl Palmer in Asia and his double bass work now that was hard.

I took drums in 4'th & 5'th grade. In 5'th I started leaning more toward the "bells" (really large xylephone thing).
Of course I never got really good at it since once middle school hit and being in band didn't get you out of class, and I quit, but I remember the first time I saw a double bass pedal from my ex's band and I was like WTF, so that's how the death metal people do it. Lol.

Aren't all of them like that?
I switched up to Bass in 7'th grade. I learned exciting things such as the C Major Scale and the hook to Smoke on the Water.
On second thought, I did Smoke on the Water on regular guitar, but I thought I was so cool.
lol

Well they are if you are playing double bass drum with only one bass drum. If you have the money and the room you have two bass drums in your kit.
