2 good books for kids here age are:
The Story of Me by Stan L Janes and Brenna Janes (NavPress, 1994).
Let?s Talk About Where Babies Come From by Robbie H. Harris (Walker Press, 2004)

Those are the kind of stories that make me happy. Especially when it is girls get excited about reptiles. So how old is she and what type of books are you thinking of? I guess just starting school, she must be 7 or 8? I have a few in mind, but I have to get home and get the titles. There are some books for kids that young. Also feel free to email me if she has any specific questions.

no she's not that old yet just going into kindergarden this year but she's always been super interested in animals, she keeps telling me she's gonna be an animal doctor. Also very senstive about anything animal related like today some kids in her sunday school class wanted to "kill the horse" (way fucked up i know i didnt see who started it though so i could really make note) and she had a melt down cry on the floor scared for the stuffed horse fit.

You got it. I'll also ask some of my friends that are herpetologists for some suggestions. I wasn't much into books when I was a kid, but I hung around museums and zoos a lot. If you have a local zoo or museum, that is also a great way to educate and inspire the kids. But it will be a pleasure to send you some books. It's going to take a couple of weeks until my guests leave though.

will be just in time to wrap them up for her baby shower gift, and sadly here in spokane all we really have for a Zoo is cat tales aka cats in cages that look really pissed off all the time. planning on taking a trip next summer when I'm not pregnant to go to the seattle zoo and aquirium.

I never heard of that before, but I think that's a great way to help stop the envy issues of a new baby. Very smart thinking Bexxx
