Working in radio I have to appreciate good sound quality. A few years back you could not do better than BOSE when it came to anything. Now a days the industry has caught up with BOSE. So find something that sounds good to you. I had a pair of BOSE headphones for work...now I have switched to Sony. I prefer the sound. just my 2 cents worth!

i love mine and sound quality is amazing but they are over ten years old...haven't heard much of anything newer

Definitely do not sound like that, but I will admit, I am no sound expert. I'm probably half deaf from playing in a punk/speed metal band for 20 years. These speakers I have are about 6 inches long and about 3 inches wide and I can't even turn it up half way or the windows shake.

I love these speakers but they don't fit my lifestyle anymore. As I got older I found myself not liking speakers that are so "in your face."

That being said, these speakers are awesome. They are for sale but if my wife kicks me outta the house before they sell, I'm keeping them for the bachelor pad.
