All that taxing the oil companies even more money is going to accomplish is for them to pull up stakes and go to a country with a lower corporate tax structure like Ireland. When you have the US with the second highest corporate income tax rate (39.3 percent, right behind Japan)

Why do you think alot of the companies in the last 20 years have shipped out?

So the final numbers show positive GDP first quarter. The housing "crisis" is tiny, and overinflated in the news. And anecdotal evidence doesn't equal proof.
