I tell all of my students this. Stayin in your comfort zone is not a way to live. Venturing outside your comfort zone even if it's babysteps will give you higher rewards and a much fuller life. Liken it to not walking anywhere cos you're afraid to trip. You'll trip. I guarantee you you will trip and fall a bunch of times in your life but that doesn't mean you should stop walking. Don't be afraid of a little failure. You'll learn more from your failures and grow more as a person if you fail from time to time and get back up. The key there is getting back up.

Well, if you are too scared to put yourself out there and take chances you will be miserable forever. You will never grow beyond what you are right now. If that's what you want, that's fine. Just don't complain about your current situation if you are unwilling to do anything to change it. It may sound harsh, but bitching about something you don't like is pointless. You don't have to jump into the deep end right away, but at least put a toe in the water. Baby steps are better than nothing, and once you realize that you can accomplish something small, you can grow it from there.
