I love Chuck Palahniuk! Fight Club is amazing! Invisible Monsters and Haunted are musts! You may also like Brett Easton Ellis, he wrote American Psycho and Less Than Zero.

Palahniuk is a favorite of mine as well, slightly behind Christopher Moore. Choke is my favorite book but I haven't heard anything about the movie, I'm afraid I'll be disappointed just by seeing the cast. Currently I'm reading "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan, not something I would think many people would be into, but as a chef it's relevant.
