I say since the parents had to go into this with the knowledge that their daughter might get into trouble and need rescuing, the Australian Authorities should had then the bill for the rescue. And if they use the excuse they didn't think of that as a possiblity, then why did they equip her boat with so many devices to call for help if something went wrong.
This is a matter of, "You play, You pay."
