I'll make this when a big group of my buddies are hungover:
Chipped Beef (serves 6)
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
2 (8 ounce) jars dried beef
black pepper
a few drops of gravy master
Melt the butter in a sausepan over low heat. Mix in the flower to make a roux, then add the milk once the flour has mixed with the butter. Increase the heat to medium and stir till it gets thick. Stir in the beef, let it get covered in the gravy, then add lots of black pepper and a bit of gravy master till the gravy turns a nice healthy tan color.
Serve it over toast with a side of eggs and you have a good hangover food. Plus the GI's back in WW2 used to love this shit.
