Yes the mascots are real and yes they are singing and playing instruments. The Japanese once again are on another level.

I've been really digging into the Japanese idol group, BiSH. Its too bad they will disband and they just announced their last performance will be on June 29, 2023 at Tokyo Dome. Sadness. They started out only 6 years ago performing in front of a crowd of a few hundred and now they will end it at a venue that holds 55,000-60,000.
One of the very few Japanese Idol groups I like because their songs are not so trying to be cutesy and unlike nearly all idol groups, BiSH uses live musicians and even an orchestra during their concerts.
