List what you think the pros and cons of buying musical equipment online or buying musical equipment at a retail outlet. Which do you prefer?

I am planing to open up music store on line, I like dealing with online which is what prompted me to want to open a online music store, so I was was wondering what anybody thinks.

I've only purchased stuff online that I test drove in a shop - so your clientele need to know what they are looking at, and if they are that savvy, they'll shop the shit out of you.

The last item I purchased was a small item - a KORG controller pad from JR

I have test driven stuff also in the big box stores... but sometimes talking to the KIDS can be agonizing... I gues they feel the same way about helping a old geezer like me.

I hope once they see the site i develop they won't go anywhere else.
