(Editing the curse words out of a George Carlin rant should be a crime punishable by death but this clip is still fucking awesome. Sorry i couldnt find one without the edits)

This made sense when he first said it but it seems to have new meaning in these uncertain times.

IMO, the problem with consumerism is the lack of self-regulation. Nobody wants the responsibility. All these "fat-cats" could be easily brought down without the public's funding. Trouble is, ppl are eager to be part of the group. Answer: don't give them your money. Do a little research into the products you buy. Have a position, and stand by it. But it becomes the Govt's job, and regulation here we come.
