Seriously, I'm a glutton for punishment, I've watched it three times. All three time, I cry like a girl. It's just a sad, tragic, and beautiful story. My childhood pet growing up lives a full life, but passed away because of cancer. When I was a freshman in college he contracted cancer and my parents didn't put him down. It was between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving he was cool, but when I came back for Christmas, he was skin and bones. He was a whippet so he was already skinny, but now he looked like he hadn't eaten in weeks (he probably didn't eat much anyways), and he had a gargantuan cancerous lump in his throat. When I came home he hobbled down the stairs to greet me. It was tragic. He then went up and laid down and slept. After I left my parents had put him down. It was clear he was in pain, but they wanted to keep him around just long enough for me to say goodbye. So I'm completely on par with this guys feelings. Every time I watch it's not even like "Oh man, that was sad" and a small tear rolls down, it's "Someone in my family just died and I can't catch my breath from crying so hard" sad.
I just feel for the guy because I've been in that position.
