I almost bought one of those! A buddy of mine grew up on Cuban Coffee and he showed me how to make the perfect cup of knock you on your ass cuban coffee. They mix a bit of the coffee w/ a lot of sugar and create a paste and then pour a shot over top of it to give it a creamy look.

Good stuff!

Your friend was right on the money. I have a 3 cup coffee maker and I use it every morning. It looks like it might take some work but it doesn't. I can almost do it in my sleep.
I understand that an expensive machine (400+) make a great cup of expresso (I used to own one in a Puertorican restaurant I used to own) but for the money, this can't be beat!

My wife bought me a Cuisinart w/the grinder built-in. But I get up at 5, and the grinder makes a fucking racket. Anyway, I like Starbucks French-roast, Cafe Verona, and Millstone 6th ave bistro. Gotta make it strong. A touch of half-n-half, and my travel mug, I'm out the door.
