Im really mot much into the older stuff, so my vote is for Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. I just love the energy he puts into a performance.

My musical knowledge doesn't go that far back.

I like these guys even though they wouldn't qualify for a "best of all time" ranking.

Dale Crover (Melvins) -- Kills it!
Matt Cameron (Soundgarden) -- I Always like his style.
Danny Carey (Tool) -- is pretty damned good too

and Mick said Taylor Hawkins which i agree with too.

Yeah, I will admit, I have no idea who most of the guys in the list are. I can't say he is the best drummer, but one of the more musically inclined as far as producing drummers has to be Questlove from The Roots.
