Default New to HD?
OK, so I see a lot of you guys have HD sets and such. I myself just got my first HDTV not long ago, and I'm wondering what movies made a good HD conversion?

What movies do you recommend I buy for my HD?

What movies would you like to see in HD?

Any Blueray fans?

I attempted to look up HD Star Wars and LotR...and so far I can't find anything. According to LucasArts they have no intention of making the series HD so in that area we're pretty much fucked...though I did hear that LotR is going to be available on HD sometime this year.

transformers looks kick ass in HD. btw dunno about elsewhere but in the u.k we cant get HD films anymore only bluray

The only High Definition (HD) media actively produced is in bluray. So by default if your buying HD content in a physical format the most likely source of that is bluray. So at this point HD=Blueray fyi.

I have to say that Bluray is the shit. I only have it because it came in the PS3 but it is the only way to watch movies now. Not like I do that often though.

Yeah, I'm way into this.

http://www.blu-ray.com is a good resource. Lots of techno-nerd audio and videophiles over there who can answer your questions. Be sure to run a search for your question on the site first, tho. It's the polite thing to do.

As for suggestions, my favorites on Blu-Ray are Cars, Planet Earth, Fifth Element, Die Hard 4, and especially Blade Runner. There are now hundreds of Blu-Ray movies. Some are better than others. Check the reviews on the above mentioned site. I've found them to be mostly accurate in their assessment.
