Last chick, about 5 years ago. Lived together for 3 years. Her parents were shit, her mom taught her to throw up to maintain her weight, that kind of shit. Long story short, she put me pretty much put me in charge of her decision making (daddy issues ). She fucked my best friend, I kept her and beat the shit out of him. She almost fucked on of my friends that was about to get married and I kept her the fuck away from everyone. I felt responsible for her. Well she starts getting distant, claims that her school work is taking up so much time, blah blah blah. I have a concert (audioslave) and invited my friends to go and she wants to go to. Fuck.

Condensed: hit every psychological button on her way out. I'm a protective guy towards everyone even tho I hate responsibility. She became a stripper, fucked her manager, told me that she was being forced into it by a 'friend' I'd heard about but never let me meet, told me that if she didn't do it he'd do shit to everyone that was close to her, took her phone and grabbed all her numbers and finally raped her. I did some stuff, made her take me to where to dude lived, got all the info I could and made sure she never came back to my house. No one bothered or came close to my place. I was paranoid prior to this, working 80+ hours a week, drinking to sleep, on high doses of lexapro + other stuff. Shitty time.

But 5-6 years later I'm back to my old asshole self

I'm leaving out the worst of it, but I will say this I knew it the entire time. The change in schedules, the stuff she kept at my place, the change in attitude and speech patterns. I knew it, but I lied to myself so I'm culpable as well. I should have just kicked her out. But I refuse to think that all women are the same, mostly by taking none of them seriously
