My friend, best to keep your mouth shut and have people think you're a fool than open your mouth and prove it. Yes, the war as it is being fought now is senseless, however if we just run away thousands of people will die. After we turned and ran from Vietnam when we clearly could have won (for shitssake, the greatest military on earth against a bunch of fucking rice farmers) cost 600,000 innocent civillians, women and children their lives. Hope you're proud. The same thing will happen in Iraq. Our reason for going to Iraq was just, our reason for staying is just... what more do you want? Yeah, having to stick around sucks, but then again war itself sucks. Oh, and for the record I served with the 26th (MEU)SOC in Fallujah. I killed and nearly died to save lives, and I refuse to let some liberal on the internet tell me that those lives aren't worth saving. If we pull out of Iraq now, every single sacrifice that thousands of my brothers in arms made would be in vain, and the blood would be on Obama's hands. Soldiers are not stupid. We're not mindless pawns that like to stab and shoot shit because we want to win shiny objects hung from a piece of ribbon to stick on our dress blues. We see what's happening firsthand (before the media has a chance to distort it) and act accordingly. Why do you think there aren't any "veterans against the war" groups? And another thing: it's not Bush denying the military the necessary funds. It's Pelosi's congress, dipshit. And Clinton all but destroyed the military during his eight years in office, Bush and his 'cronies' are the only reason our military is as strong as it is today.

No, it doesn't. We need to put an end to the frivolous malpractice suits driving the price of healthcare up. And if you can't afford healthcare, get a fucking job. The "safety net" that welfare was supposed to provide has turned into a hammoc because of laziness, and the same thing will happen to healthcare. Free healthcare is just one more step in the direction of marxism, that's all. And as the price goes down, so does the quality and safety. But Obama Bin Laden doesn't care, because that narrow-minded prick won't have to deal with it firsthand.

No, that's the responsibility of the DEMOCRAT-CONTROLLED CONGRESS, who right now is too busy rallying around Dennis Kucinich to impeach the president to do any of it, despite the fact that they have an approval rating 1/4 that of said president. And NASA is unnecessary? Gimme a fucking break. Space is our future, we should be spending 100 times the money we are now on NASA. And speaking of presidents screwing up or helping the economy, the only reason that you think Clinton was good for the economy is because the national debt just so happened to reach zero while he was in office. The real reason? The REPUBLICAN CONGRESS working day and night to make it happen.
And don't even get me STARTED on the other stupid shit Obama buys into like global warming, participation in the UN and Kyoto.

Well my friend, congratulations on surviving your tour of duty. I thank you for your service. But if you must know I am a registered Republican who voted for Bush, twice. But seeing that I am paying 4 a gallon for gas and my friends are being layed off left and right because he refuses to give up on a country that doesn't give a rat's ass about us or what brave men and woman like yourself have done for them. As for NASA, space exploration is a joke. Space is our future? Translation, it is another place for us to fuck up like we have this planet. 100 times the money we spend now? We can't build a decent space shuttle to replace the aging ones we have now. And why the hell should we sink so much money into exploring someplace unknown without first taking care of our own citizens. And if you want to resort to name calling asshole then please spare me the Pro-war, I am a soldier rhetoric that surrounds it. The great thing about this country is I can say what I believe and you seem to be the kind of person who wants to silence free speech and make us all fall in line behind a President who can't form a coherent sentence or eat a fucking pretzel without choking. Will Obama fix our problems? Not likely but neither will McCain or Paul.
As for the health care, you basically said the same thing I said. It's the lawsuits that have driven the price of health care up. And get a job? people want to work but they can't when the economy is in the shitter. You seem like the type of person who wants us phone tapped and scared yet you hang out in a forum that features porn and moral freedom. Conflict of interest?

If its the backbone of our economy, then why is the dollar at an all time low. Our economy is shit, you know it, just like everyone else. Step out into the real world and join the rest of us.

Conflict of intrest? Not in the slightest. I love free speech, and I've always been against the Patriot Act... and big government, for that matter. I just hate it when people use their freedom of speech in conjunction with liberal rhetoric that has NO factual basis. Opinions are fine, but they should be based on facts.

While I will agree with you to a point, I will disagree. most opinions are not fact or based on fact, they are formed through ideals, which is where I get mine. I never claim to be right. I watch the news, read the paper, listen to current event discussions and form my opinions. I am in no way shape or form saying I am right, chances are I am not. But its what I believe and it happens to differ from you. I am not knocking our soldiers or our military as a whole. I am an Army brat, my father served in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf war. My cousin was recently wounded in Afghanistan and is in Walter Reed. I have lost two friends during this war and several more wounded. I thank every soldier I see for protecting my freedoms. I try to volunteer on Ft. Knox as often as my job entails. I understand why we went to war and supported it but too many young fathers, brothers and sons are dying now and I feel we have lost sight as to why we started this war. Thank you for protecting our freedoms.
