1) Paul Rudd - Funniest motherfucker in Hollywood, IMO.
2) Brad Pitt - The guy never plays a bad role, and even his worst movies aren't too terrible
3) Phillip Seymour Hoffman - He's such a great fucking actor
Honorable Mention:
Christian Bale - Been a huge fan since American Psycho
Joseph Gordon Levitt - Just an amazing up and coming actor
DiCaprio - I would've put him in the top, but the Scorsese/DiCaprio crap is getting tired and old
Steve Buscemi - My favorite actor ever, but he's always a supporting guy, never a main star

- Dennis Hopper
Nicolas Cage - First saw him in Con Air and just like his style of acting. Always puts out movies that entertain.
Johnny Depp - Amazing guy who puts out everything for his roles. I am dying to see Alice in Wonderland just because of him (and well of course Tim Burton).
Helena Bonham Carter - She's just great in every role that she's been in that I've seen. First noticed her in Fight Club as Marla. She's just not another one out of the cookie cutter from Hollywood.

What three actor or actresses motivate you to pretty much automatically watch a movie.
Are you actually saying Nicolas Cage makes you automatically want to see a certain movie? You must be watching an awful lot of shit movies cuz that's the majority of what he's in lately.
Sure, when he first started out he was "that guy" in a bunch of quirky roles but once whoever it was in power decided to make him an "action star" all his movies were shit.
Seriously:
Wicker man
National Treasure
Ghost Rider
Bangkok Dangerous
Seems like he's batting 50% these days... which is not good. Everyone's got an opinion and that is mine...
Con Air, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Face off, Lord of War, National Treasure (1 and 2), 8mm, Windtalkers, Leaving Las Vegas, and The Weather Man (fucking fantastic movie).
And I did see those movies you mentioned that sucked because he was in them. Wicker man was pretty much an abortion that's the worse of the worse for him.

Well 4 years really for excellent stuff. His last one was the weather man that's in my list up there that is pretty great. He's doing ok with national treasure just the others... Bad taste on his part really. Guess can't expect much but there's hope for less crap in the future. He did good in Knowing, just that the ending made the entire movie utterly pointless which pissed me off. So that can't really count.
