Wow! That must have been a cool show to have seen! Damn! So you were old enough to remember the last time the Leafs won the cup in 67 I think it was?? Hehe! It will forever only be a pipe dream for me to ever see that happen as long as the teachers pension owns them.

At that time I wasn't interested in hockey. The Beatles only played for 35 minutes, which was a typical concert for them. Most of their songs were only 2 minutes long anyway. There were 5 other acts including .. The Circle ( Red Rubber Ball ) and the Shondells and Chad and Jeremy and others I can't remember. It was strange now that I have seen tons of other concerts. No lighting and no big PA system. Just them and their small Vox amps. So much screaming from the girls. The only thing that I have seen that comes close is the Duran Duran show I saw there in March/ 84. The girls went mental. They filmed the video for " The Reflex " that night. The Payolas opened. ( Eyes of a stranger).
As for the Leafs.... Until people stop going to the games when they lose... the song remains the same. In Montreal, the arena is empty when they are on a losing streak. Toronto has been sold out for 40 years so it means nothing whether they win or lose. Ballard is gone, Maple Leaf Gardens is a memory, tons of new players and management, and they are three years without making the playoffs again. The end!!!

My mother took me to see Beatlemania at Radio City Music hall in 1977 (Beatles cover band.)

Grew up in Puerto Rico during the 80's and our choices of concerts were slim and none.

Saw Bon Jovi with Cinderella as an opening act in 86 or 87.

Ozzy made it down in 1979 or 80 and his PA system was acting up so the crowd went nuts and rioted. One kid was killed and from then until Bon Jovi, P.R. was off limits for concerts....very few after them until '91 but i was already back stateside by then.
