so - I'm sure I could find directions somewhere on how to do it.....but any tips on how to explain to my morally upright children/wife how daddy brought home 200 new, unlabeled wii games from work?

hahah....it's the one small concession we've made.
they must power the TV/console by riding an exercise bike that's hooked up to an inverter - so if they wanna play mariokart - they must create their own electricity.

Patriotism is as fierce as a fever, pitiless as the grave, blind as a stone, and irrational as a headless hen.

I'm interested in this also.
When Dish started a separate xbox 360 game thread, Randal & I both wondered how, and the Godfather himself responded with his tools: http://www.drunkenstepfather.com/for...0&postcount=13 & http://www.drunkenstepfather.com/for...4&postcount=15 but it seems from what I read on those sites that there is a hardware mod that happens first (involves voiding warranty, opening case, using paperclips...) so I backed off.
I'm all for it if someone could explain first hand.

I have a friend do my 360 firmware mods for me because i dont have the tools. And yes you do have to open your case and void the warranty to mod your 360. You have to take out the cd drive and attach it to your computer via a sata cable and use a program to change its firmware so that it reads burnable media. As far as the wii is concerned its much easier but the same idea. The way mine is done is using a media stick which has programs on it for the firmware change. Youll have to downgrade your wii version first and then use the program on the stick to do the same as with the 360. It will go in and change the firmware version on the will and allow it to read burnable media. Sorry but that is as clear as i can be with my directions as seeing as i dont do them myself i just tag along!>! hehe
