Ridley Scott, acclaimed director of classic films like "Blade Runner", is taking on a decidedly different project: producing (and possibly directing) a movie based on the Monopoly board game.

Is this for real? I think it could be cool anyway though, they seem to want to make movies out of anything, and I suppose its always been that way. I like the idea of the monopoly guy being a badass in some Blade Runner style movie. Could make actually playing the game a lot more exciting.

I read this on movie site today and was like WTF! Why do you want to make a movie about a board game.....and to make it like Blade Runner one of the greatest movies every. Ridley Scott must think since Michael Bay is doing Transformers and JJ Abrams is doing Star trek, and GI Joe come out this summer, he thinks if he corners the board games remakes he'll make some money, before they get a chance.................I have one question!



Who's he going to get to play the Thimble? That will make or break the movie.
