An Oklahoma mayor’s daughter and the wife of a prominent police chief has been sentenced to four years jail after the former substitute teacher was found guilty of soliciting sex from a 15 year old student she taught.

Emma Delaney Hancock, 28, was on Wednesday ordered to serve four years of a six years jail sentence after previously being found guilty on two counts of soliciting sex with a minor through the use of technology according to Wellston prosecutors.

Hancock who is the daughter of Wellston Mayor Paul Whitnah, is married to Wellston Police Chief Alfred Hancock, with whom she shares two children with, KFOR reported.

‘Are we sending half-naked pictures now?’

Hancock, a then 26 year old substitute teacher in Wellston, began talking to the then-15-year-old boy on Oct. 6, 2022, after the student put his number into her phone after saying ‘he needed help with an assignment’.

Hancock sent a friend request to the minor later that night, with the teacher and student beginning a conversation for several weeks.

The messages between teacher and student soon turned lewd — when the teen — who remains unidentified, sent a shirtless pic to Hancock over the social media app.

‘Are we sending half-naked pictures now?’ Hancock responded.

The teen replied: ‘I don’t know, are we?’

‘Are you trying to get me to lose my job?’ Hancock allegedly said according to KFOR.

Wellston teacher adamant that she would not get in trouble sexting teen student

The pair then shared naked photos and sexually explicit videos, the student told investigators in November 2022, KOKH reported, citing an arrest affidavit.

The student alleged that he and Hancock, on two occasions, met in the classroom the then-26-year-old was subbing in and ‘made out’ inside a closet during the teen’s lunch, claiming the teacher groped him at least once.

The teen claimed Hancock would also allow him to take hits from her vape pen.

Rumors began to spread about the illicit relationship after the boy reportedly told one of his friends, who then confronted Hancock.

The educator initially denied any wrongdoing but then allegedly admitted to the inappropriate behavior, saying it would ‘not amount to anything because they were not going to get caught.’

Authorities obtained a search warrant for Hancock’s Snapchat account and discovered videos of the classroom incidents.

She turned herself in on April 13, 2023.

Wellston, Oklahoma sub teacher denies doing anything wrong

During the trial, Hancock’s husband, Alfred Hancock, testified in support of his wife, saying he believed she didn’t do anything wrong.

‘She looked me dead in the eyes and said, there’s nothing [on her phone]. I mean, I believe that there’s nothing there,’ the police chief told jurors in October according to NonDoc.com. ‘She’s my wife. I believe her. I’m on her side.’ (but is she on her husband’s side?)

Hancock, who goes by Delaney, denied she did anything wrong, insisting the teen was lying, with the educator claiming she never sent or received any sexual messages to or from the boy.

Despite the existence of electronic proof of back and forth messages, video and images, Hancock was only found guilty of two of the five charges she’d faced, when a jury convicted the former teacher late October.

She was acquitted of two charges of ‘lewd or indecent acts to (a) child under 16,’ and one of ‘soliciting sexual conduct or communication with (a) minor by use of technology.’

Lincoln County District Judge Sheila Kirk sentenced Hancock on Wednesday to six years in prison, three for each charge.

The convicted felon will only have to serve four years behind bars if she adheres to the sentence, KOKH reported.

Along with the prison time, Hancock will have to register as a sex offender.

The teen had reportedly turned to online schooling after his relationship with Hancock and the subsequent trial led to the teen boy being traumatized.

‘It’s just too much,’ one of the teen’s family members told KFOR. ‘So, he’s going to go back online. So, his entire high school years were online. So, we missed all that. The sports events, the prom, walking across the stage.’

Not immediately clear is what led to the female teacher abusing her position of authority, trust and power and subjugating her teen male victim…

Hancock is also facing a civil lawsuit filed by the victim’s family, according to News9.

An elementary teacher who got pregnant after raping a 12 year old student in Tennessee, then going on to have his baby was on Friday sentenced to 25 years jail.

Alissa McCommon, 38, who is thought to have sexually abused up to up to 21 victims, between the ages of 12 and 17, will also be required to register as a sex offender after taking a plea deal ahead of her upcoming January, 2025, trial where she’d faced a 23 count indictment against her.

The former fourth grade teacher at Charger Academy – an elementary school in Covington, Tennessee, pleaded guilty to one count each of rape of a child and the child protection act, and multiple counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, aggravated statutory rape, sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, and solicitation of a minor: aggravated statutory rape.

Teacher, 38, threatened to kill herself if 12 year old boy broke off relationship

The former teacher will also be required to undergo community supervision for life as part of her plea, and she will not be eligible for parole, according to Fox 13 Memphis.

McCommon, who had been initially suspended (without pay) following allegations against her, before ultimately resigning, is also not allowed to have contact with her victims, nor her newborn child, who is in the custody of the grandmother. McCommon’s teaching license has also been revoked.

McCommon’s child was confirmed through DNA testing to belong to one of the victims.

The 38 year old, herself a mother of two young children, had called the father of her child nearly 200 times, played videos games with him, sent sexual photos to him on Snapchat and even threatened to kill herself if he broke off the relationship, according to WREG.

Five of her victims testified against her, with the teacher ‘getting to the children’ by befriending their mothers, according to WREG.

An investigation into McCommon was announced in 2023 after a 16-year-old boy told police she had performed oral sex on him when he was 12, according to ABC 24.

McCommon was arrested on September 8, 2023, but posted her $25,000 bail the next day on the promise she wouldn’t contact the victim or any minors.

Victims on both sides

Weeks later, police were informed she had contacted the baby daddy using a different phone number and she was re-arrested on September 28.

McCommon told the victim he would ‘regret doing this’ and admitted to having a sexual encounter with him.

The threatening phone call to the 12-year-old was recorded, and played aloud in court at a hearing in October 2023.

Her lawyer had insisted the voice was not hers and that the text messages could have come from anyone.

‘It’s not a registered phone, it’s just some random number,’ her lawyer told Fox News prior to her guilty plea.

The educator’s own two children were withdrawn from school last year after they were bullied following their mother’s arrest.

‘There are victims, arguably, on both sides of this case, regardless of her guilt or innocence,’ her attorney Jere Mason said at the time. ‘She’s got two minor children herself.

‘They’ve had to pull them out of school, and they’re experiencing some ridicule.’

Woodland teacher arrested over sexual relationship with teen student

Mika Yoneda, Woodland high school teacher teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with Monterey County teen student in California.

A California teacher at a Monterey County area school is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student according to to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

Mika Yoneda, 25, who taught at Woodland High School and who had been actively employed as an English teacher was on Tuesday arrested on the grounds of the school.

The sheriff’s office said it received a report of a male ‘juvenile’ student at North Monterey County High School allegedly involved in a ‘sexual misconduct situation’ with an educator.

Sexual predator accused of betraying her position of trust, power and authority to prey on juvenile boy

The agency determined Yoneda who had worked at that campus in 2022 was that teacher before leaving the following year. She reportedly worked as a private tutor in addition to working as a teacher, FOX40 reported.

Monterey County Sheriff, Tina Nieto said her office did an investigation and determined the allegations against Yoneda were legitimate and after determining a probable cause existed, initiated her arrest, KCRA reported.

Following the female educator’s arrest, the Woodland Joint Unified School District issued the following statement:

‘The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. At this time, we are not aware of any WJUSD students who are connected to this criminal investigation. However, we are cooperating with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office investigation.’

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is now seeking to determine if there were additional victims and has asked anyone who may have ‘violated’ to step forward.

Not immediately clear is what led to the female educator allegedly betraying her position of trust, power and authority to prey on the teen boy.

Yoneda who is now on ‘administrative leave’ is being held on bail of $1,500,000 and faces several charges, including; arranging to meet with a minor, contacting a minor with intent to have sex, sex with a minor, lewd acts with a child and sodomy of a person under 18, KSBW reported.

The sheriff’s office said it is not aware of any incidents involving students from the Woodland area, and it asks anyone with information about the case to call Sergeant Nicholas Kennedy at 831-755-3773.

Laura Caron, Middle Township, NJ elementary teacher arrested sexually assaulting then 13 year old boy she became impregnated with and whose child she had after victim and his siblings started staying at her home, before living there permanently. Sexual abuse of victim began when child was eleven years old and went ongoing for years.

She was trusted by the school district and by parents… A New Jersey elementary school teacher allegedly had a child with one of her former students, 13, who lived with her for several years — and was only caught out when by chance the teen’s father noticed a similarity between his son and the educator’s child on social media.

Laura Caron, 34, a fifth-grade teacher, is accused of sexually assaulting her ex-pupil when they lived together in her home between 2016 and 2020, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office revealed Wednesday.

Caron first met her victim when she taught him and his brother in the fifth grade at Middle Township Elementary School in southern New Jersey.

The abuse started when the boy was 11 and lasted for years

The boy, born in 2005, and his family remained close with their former teacher and his parents allowed their sons and daughter to sleep over at Caron’s house a couple nights a week, according to ABC6.

The three siblings lived permanently with Caron between 2016 and 2020, sharing a bedroom.

During that time, Caron allegedly had ‘inappropriate sexual relations’ with her former pupil and later became pregnant.

She gave birth to the child in 2019, when she was 28.

It remained unclear how or why the three children came to be living ‘permanently’ with Canon.

Matters went awry when the student’s father pointed out the uncanny similarity between Caron’s child, himself and his son on a Facebook post in December 2024.

Student victim’s siblings witnessed sexual assault

The boy’s sister told prosecutors that she remembered going to sleep with her brother in the same room, but woke up to find him sleeping in Caron’s bed, the outlet reported.

The unidentified girl claimed Caron began sleeping with her brother when he was 11 years old.

Investigators found that the teen’s brother had once seen Caron sexually assaulting his sleeping brother.

The unidentified teen victim, who is now between 19 and 20 years old, revealed to investigators the sexual relationship with Caron and that he fathered his former teacher’s child.

The two had remained in contact until his father made the December Facebook post according to the nypost.

Abuse of position of trust, authority and power

Police arrested Caron at her home on Wednesday and charged her with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

She is being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility without bond until her initial court appearance.

‘This arrest underscores the unwavering commitment of our office and law enforcement partners to protect the children in our community,’ Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffery Sutherland said.

‘Teachers hold a position of great trust, and the allegations in this case represent a deeply troubling breach of that trust. We will work tirelessly to ensure justice is served and to support the victim and their family throughout this process.’

The Middle Township School District placed Caron on paid administrative leave, CBS Philadelphia reported.

The Middle Township Elementary School website showed that Caron had worked at the school. Her information had been removed as of 4:30 p.m, Wednesday.

The school district is said to be cooperating with investigators, the prosecutor’s office said.

Laura Caron Middle Township Elementary 13 year old student lover begged family members not to go to police after NJ teacher gave birth to their child following ongoing sexual assault of boy.

A then 13 year old New Jersey area boy who fathered his teacher’s baby pleaded with family members to keep the child’s birth a secret so his violator wouldn’t have to go to jail, new released details have revealed according to Cape May County prosecutors.

The revelations come one day after Laura Caron, 34, a fifth grade teacher at Middle Township Elementary was arrested in the ongoing sexual assault of the then 13 year old who first became sexually involved with his elementary teacher while living at her Bucks County home with his siblings.

Canon became a focus of police investigations after the boy’s father noted uncanny similarities between his son and the elementary teacher’s 5 year old son, after the woman sharing images on social media in December.

Middle Township teacher duplicitous behaviour

Upon her arrest, Canon was was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Michael Emmer in conjunction with Middle Township Police Chief Tracey Super said Wednesday.

The educator gave birth to the then 13-year-old’s child in 2019 when she was 28, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Patch.

Caron was the boy’s and his brother’s fifth grade teacher, authorities said. His mother became close with Caron and began to let them spend the night at her house when Caron offered to watch the children – starting at one or two times a week, which turned into the boys and their sister living permanently at Caron’s home from 2016 to 2020, according to the documents. This is the time period that prosecutors allege Caron was assaulting the child.

His sister told authorities that the children would sleep in a shared room on the second floor, but she would wake up and find her brother in Caron’s bed.

13 year old student victim lover pleads to keep secret

Court documents itemised instances of duplicitous behaviour including Caron entering the bathroom when the victim would shower and locking the door behind her the Daily Voice reported.

Other egregious instances involved the victim’s brother observing the sibling victim and Caron engaging in a sexual act while they believed him to be asleep. The sibling said he thought his brother was 11 at the time, according to the affidavit.

After Caron’s baby was born, the victim permanently slept in her room and kept his clothes in her drawer, documents said.

Not immediately clear is how the siblings came to end up living permanently with Caron.

Following the victim’s father approaching Middle Township officials, the victim now believed to be around 20 years old, conceding that he was the father of Caron’s child. The 20 year old relayed having texted his sister at one point admitting to being the child’s father, while imploring her to keep it a secret so Caron wouldn’t get in trouble, according to documents.

The victim said he kept in contact with Caron until his father made the social media post.

Following the 5th grade teacher’s arrest, Middle Township School District Superintendent Dr. David Salvo released a statement saying, ‘When the district was first advised of the allegations, the staff member was immediately placed on and continues to be on paid administrative leave.’

Come Thursday, Caron faced a judge during a virtual hearing, where was advised of her rights, 6abc reported.

Caron is currently jailed at the Cape May County Correctional Facility with no bond as she now awaits a detention hearing scheduled for next Thursday.
