You took the words right outta my mouth. Either the Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots or Pearl Jam make for some awesome late-night driving music, especially the Foos or STP.

Some of the best times of my life have been spent speeding down a dark, deserted highway at 1AM on the way home from Indians games. 100 miles per hour minimum in a Corvette-engined Camaro, windows down, me and my shotgun-riding girlfriend singing along with Interstate Love Song at the top of our lungs... good times.

The road-head wasn't bad either. I couldn't see where I was going all to well with my head up her dress, but we always got home safe.

Not to wax poetic or shit, but I think those times were the ones when I felt most at peace with the world, at one with everything. For some reason I always felt closer to God than I ever did in church and more at peace than I ever did in yoga class (slight exaggeration, I never took yoga) as I sped down those lonely highways. I felt like, in that moment, I could afford to be carefree, like I had all the answers....
