Then have your child go to the library when they teach evolution in science class, if you don't want him/her exposed to it or send them to a private school (like a catholic school).

thats what i plan on doing. im not the kind of ass hole would like protest the schools teaching evolution but i just dont want my kids learning it.

basically i dont expect anyone to bend over backwards for my religious beliefs but i dont expect anyone to bash them, because i respect whatever people wanna believe

I actually agree with you Jester. There is more proof of evolution than what is told in the Bible. Children should be taught what can be proven instead of what is based on ideals.

Great quote from Crash. And I agree with you, I was raised Catholic but somewhere in the last 20 years I developed a brain and started to use it to question what I was forced feed throughout my life. I would say now, I only use religion to benefit me whenever at all possible.

i was raised catholic, my mother didnt want to pick her childrens religion but everyone else in my family did she she baptized us, but after i recieved confirmation she never brought up religion and i didnt have to go to church anymore, and two years later when i was 16, i missed it so much that i started to teach ccd, and i went to church by myself. but i have very open minded views on religion and the bible.

OK, who is to say that 6 days is what we think 6 days is now. Also, Adam lived to be 930, Noah lived to be 950 years old, and Abraham lived to be 175. Do we believe that those are the same years we live today. Doubtful. So, who is to say that Creationism and Evolution can not co-exist.
