Anyone unable to connect to dsf or even the main page because of 504 or database errors?

Yep, and if you get through you need to refresh the page cause maybe you didn't really get through. I also can't log out even though it says I logged out. But once you do connect it usually lasts a good while.

I cleared my cache tonight and was able to log in for the first time since 1/1.

Doing both didn't work for me, not on either pc or mobile. I just wait a few hours and come back. Sometimes when I click a link to a thread it gets a 404 Page not found error. Then it works fine later.

If things seem exactly the same as your last visit, try refreshing the page.

Cache clearing isn't working for me either, but when you can't get in or see the 504 erros, that is a server issue. You can test with http://www.websitedown.info/

If you click the links from the recent posts on the front page, you will be taken to one of their partner adds. EDIT: now I get taken to the front page with the 404 lol.

Are you finding the 404 links elsewhere though?

No you hot piece of ass it's really me. On my systems (2 desktops and my wife's laptop) it gives me a database error message from the browser. If I open a private window or the like, I can manually log in - it's how I got here now. I did a cache clean and the same thing happens. Something changed significantly right at the year end.

Yeah there is all sorts of new fun going on. I still have to refresh everything to see new stuff.

I get the database errors on occasion when I hit top posters (I go there as a backup to see if I missed new posts from anyone). Other times it is fine, I would say just keep trying at different points in the day. If it's still a total fail in a day or so let me know.

Don't get the whole needing to be in private mode for the login, but it sounds like the reverse of my inability to log out. Do you click the checkmark box when you go to log in? Try it if not, see if that helps anything.

Looking at this for some repeatability. I did a CClean clean of my 2 systems (wife said no to me doing hers too) and get some consistency now. If I try and open with my normal browser in normal mode I get a database error every time. But if I turn right around and open with a private session, I get the forum homepage and can log in and move around almost normally. I can't do NEW POSTS and click on a link and get that post, I have to manually click on the header and navigate to the topic again manually.
I've gone in and manually reset and cleaned cookies, cache, everything I could, and this is the result. There is a basic incompatability that has popped up since last year. It seems to be worsening over time to the point that I will not be able to reach the forum at all.
