I've subscribed to Playboy for probably 20 years or more. (I also bought a huge collection of back issues so I have everything from 11/55 to date - jusg missing the first year and a half). The reasons I keep getting it are habit, nostalgia, jokes and cartoons, and the articles. I barely even skim over the pictorials anymore, for all the reasons mentioned above but mostly airbrushing and silicone.

I got Penthouse for most of that time too, until I married my current wife. Turns out she didn't care if I got it or not, so I stopped. Before then, wives/girlfriends strongly objected to my subscribing to both Playboy and Penthouse, so I had no choice but to keep getting them. Once that wasn't an issue I kept getting Playboy for the articles, but dropped Penthouse because I just didn't care about it. Pix online are better and free-er.

I've only bought, maybe, 20 issues of Playboy in my lifetime. Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Belinda Carlisle... mostly musician issues or when they have new works by writers I collect like Stephen king.

Penthouse was always better, especially when they started having the full on porn pictorials about 15 years ago, but they quit that after only a few years.

For the good stuff, Hustler had the better looking 'girls next door' cause they really did look like they'd live next door to me.
