For the past month my computer will go into stand by if its idle for a short period of time. I have no clue how to make this stop. Any ideas?

I got an 02 gateway and everytime I try to burn a dvd or, it seems, when I watch video for a while or even just use my pc for great lengths of time my screen will freeze and scramble. Let me see if i can post a pic of it.

Here it is...



Any ideas? I'm fuckin' stumped and frustrated. Everytime it happens I want to chuck it out the fuckin' window.
