I won't argue that here. I prefaced it by saying it was blind swinging slander. It should be taken as such. If it's not, fine. I'm sure at some point I'll rant and rave about Mr. Obama's military theories. But like I said, this was just fists and elbows.

So, his name is NOT Barack Hussein Obama? Or is it that his middle name is silly? I'm being stupid about this because I thought the "Hussein" thing was a hoot. It was satire. I didn't think it was especially clever, but the reaction was priceless. My gf at the time went on and on about how it was a lie that his middle name is Hussein. When she finally Googled it to prove me wrong, she changed it to "racism" using his middle name. Somehow using his middle name was racist. And the most hilarious part was that even with proof, she didn't want to believe his middle name is Hussein. I love it when "good" people have to eat their own bigotry.

Personally, I could give a rat's ass what his middle name is. I found it distasteful that he was "Barry"...right up until he decided to involve himself in Chicago politics. He had to change his name to gain street cred. I'm a firm believer that the only thing as bad as a racist is a race pimp. They're two sides of the same coin.

hehe Wide eyed I am, in some strange I guess since my state is completely red except for the cities and population dense areas. The electoral college takes no influence in my vote, regardless they vote their conscious and not their constituency. I do vote for the presidency. I stated I vote for myself.

I got 18 votes last year after a drunken rant. Up from 7 the last year. I'm working myself up

Of course his middle name is Hussein. But using his middle name to somehow make him seem un-American by tying him to Saddam is childish and more of the name calling I was ranting about earlier. It's not racist. It is stupid. It is worse than the logical fallacy of using the tragedy of Sept. 11 to invade Iraq. Pic is not related in either case.

Actually maybe it is racist since it is the third most popular name in the culture in which his father was raised. Either way, it is a false and silly attack.

So he stopped going as Barry. What does it matter. His name could be Joe Eatadick and after a first laugh I would wonder what he stood for, and not try to divine some dark secret as to what his name means.

I wasn't divining a dark sexret from his name. What I'm saying is that he's phony. He changed his name for political reasons, plain and simple.

So is using his middle name racist or not? And is using his middle name false? Is it an attack? Really? Like I said, I never thiought it was all the clever, but the fact is his supporters (a good sized portion of them...you included, it would seem) had kittens over his middle name being used. Coulter didn't say there was some dark meaning. You all came up with that on your own. And it was priceless to watch. Honestly, it's still hilarious.
