I personally think Megaupload is better that is why all the shit I upload is to it.

Some Stats:

Megaupload:
Max Upload Size, Single File or Multiple Files
Unregistered: 500MB
Registered free user: 1GB
Premium user: Unlimited

Free Online Storage with Filemanager
Unregistered: None
Registered: 50GB
Premium: 1TB

Max Downloads Per Day
Unregisered: Very Limited
Registered: Limited (I have done 8 back to back without a problem)
Premium: Unlimited

Download Speed
They don't give specifics, but I get 300KBps as a free, registered user

RapidShare
Max Upload Size
Free User: 200MB
Premium: 2GB

Download Speed
Free User: 500kbps (yes, kiloBIT, that's 62KBps)
Premium: Unlimited (I get around 100KBps which is fucking unacceptable since I am paying for unlimited)

Free Online Storage with Filemanager:
Both

Max Downloads Per Day
Free User: Unclear
Premium: 10GB per day, now been limited to 4GB with a cell phone like rollover setup


It seems pretty clear to me that RapidShare sucks ass compared to MegaUpload. Plus, with a 200MB upload limit for free users, you always get this split file shit. Eight fucking files for one movie and with Megaupload, one... both without paying.

don't really care..I bought a RS account because 90% of the shit on here were RS links at the time....I didn't know you can get a movie in 1 file using megaupload though...I may copy some more DVDs to post if that is the case....

I usually use rapidshare to upload even though I don't have an account, most peeps here do. BUt I have always much preferred megaupload myself.

For albums it seems Rapid is widely used here. But the size limits make me split some of them. But for movies it pretty much has to be Mega other wise people have a boatload of files to download. For regular users of this board it seems premium accounts at both shops really are the way to go.

i wish mega had the marketshare but they dont. So I try to split it up because I want people to be able to get the stuff I'm sharing. If you mix it up then there's a chance people can get it all for free and not have to get premium accounts.

this weekend I posted 2 movies at rapid so my next few albums will all go on mega. that way maybe i save someone some money.

But if i could talk everyone on this board into Mega I would - except one problem, they want their porn separated to their other site which pisses me off. after getting premium for a year I want to get my porn too not just music, fuckers! rapid doesn't seem to care, and if you don't use obvious file names they don't seem to care about much at all.
