More victims? Fourth grade TN teacher sex assault of 12 year old boy

Alissa McCommon, Tipton County, Tennessee fourth grade teacher accused of having sex with 12 year old student at her home as investigators probe possible additional victims.

A fourth-grade teacher in Tennessee and mother of two has been accused of raping a 12-year-old and befriending other former students online.

Alissa McCommon, 38, was arrested outside her home Friday by Covington Police Department and booked into the Tipton County Jail.

The educator was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a former student in 2021 at her home, Covington Police Chief Donna Turner said.


Reached out to victim and other potential victims via social media

The Charger Academy teacher admitting to inappropriately communicating with students, police said.

McCommon was suspended without pay on August 24 after a parent came forward with the allegation, according to WREG.

After the parent came forward, several other students claimed McCommon befriend them online and even played video games with them.

Common practice involves teachers being advised by the school district against befriending students on social media.

But there was more to come.

The fourth-grade teacher allegedly sent students inappropriate photos along with requesting to having sex with them, WREG reported.

‘It is unbearable. It’s unspeakable and it’s 100 percent preventable. I think that’s why the detectives and we are so passionate about making sure victims are okay,’ Chief Turner said, according to WREG.

The teacher, who is being held on a $25,000 bond, maintains her innocence.

Additional charges expected

‘We believe that it’s borderline a witch hunt on social media and that’s frustrating to us,’ Jere Mason, her defense attorney said, according to WREG.

Tipton County Schools said that McCommon also worked at the CrestView Elementary School. Police continue to interview witnesses and search for more victims in the case.

The investigation is ongoing as cops continue to interview the alleged victims, Yahoo News reported. Police indicated additional charged were forthcoming.

Parents believe the teacher should have been arrested after she was suspended from school.

‘Now y’all want to take matters of it. You should have done that in the beginning of time when you first found out about it,’ Bianca Taylor, who has a student in McCommon’s class, said in a Facebook group, according to Fox13 Memphis.

Investigators said, so far, none of the alleged sexual acts are believed to have taken place on school grounds.

Not immediately clear is what led to the female educator allegedly abusing her position of power, trust and authority and subjugating her male victim along with other potential victims.

McCommon is expected to appear in court on October 13.

If convicted the female educator faces up to 25 years in jail.

Iowa Teacher Accused of Sexually Abusing 13-Year-Old, Sending Obscene Material on Snapchat to Other Minors

A former Iowa teacher was arrested and charged with sexually abusing at least three students and sending them obscene materials, according to authorities.

Cassidy Sue Kraus, 24, of Westside, was arrested on Friday and charged with sexual abuse in the third degree, a Class C felony, two counts of lascivious acts with a child, which are also Class C felonies, and three counts of dissemination of obscene materials to a minor, which are serious misdemeanors, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

“It is alleged that while employed as a teacher at the IKM Manning School, Krause engaged in multiple sexually oriented acts with three different students, the youngest of which being 13,” the press release states.

Kraus resigned in lieu of being fired in August, KCIM reports.

She is listed as married on Facebook. According to The Knot.com, she and her husband wed on July 1 in Arcadia.

She posted a $10,000 bond on Saturday and was released from jail.

It is unclear whether she has retained an attorney who can speak on her behalf.

She is scheduled to return to court on Thursday.

She faces up to 33 years in prison if convicted.

The IKM Community School District did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

‘Best friends w/ benefits’ Former CT school employee had sex w/ 11 year old boy

Alyson Cranick, Columbia, Connecticut school employee accused of having sex with 11 year old boy after befriending boy with benefits.

‘Best Friends for Life With Benefits.’ A former married Connecticut school worker has been arrested following allegations she had sex with an 11 year old male student in Columbia last year.

Alyson Cranick, 42, turned herself into police Tuesday on several charges including two counts of sexual assault, risk of injury to a child and impairing the morals of children.

The married mother of two was earlier fired as an administrative assistant at E.O. Smith High School in Mansfield after being accused of repeatedly having sex with the boy when he was just 11 and 12, WFSB reported.

In a message to the Columbia school community on Tuesday, the district said the allegations are disturbing and cause concerns about the safety of their children.

Police said they were made aware of a reported sex assault involving a minor that happened in 2022. The incident was reported to officers in September 2023, NBC Connecticut reported.

According to an arrest warrant, police said the 11-year-old told a relative that he was in a sexual relationship with Cranick during July and August of 2022. The boy said he had been communicating with Cranick over iMessage and Snapchat before ultimately using Discord.

The boy allegedly snuck out to meet Cranick and the two had sexual relations in her car on multiple occasions. The two had also kissed at Horace Porter School in Columbia, according to court documents.

Documents stated the admin assistant either waited by ‘hiding behind a bush on a neighbor’s property or walking up to his house.’

Betrayal of position of authority, power and trust

Conversations between the two showed several flirtatious and sexual messages. An arrest warrant noted Cranick making the boy a bracelet with the acronym ‘BFFLWB,’ meaning ‘Best Friends for Life With Benefits.’

Messages appear to show Cranick ’emotionally manipulated [the boy] into spending more time with her.’ The boy eventually refused to sneak out to see Cranick, and messages between the two showed that the boy did not want to have any further relations with her, according to the warrant.

During questioning, Cranick told authorities that she did not initiate sexual contact, and she ‘downplayed any inappropriate reasoning for communicating [with the boy],’ the warrant stated. Police went on to say that Cranick claimed she was trying to comfort the boy because he was scared about family issues.

The school district said, ‘Columbia community members should be reassured that the safety of children is the district’s foremost concern,’ citing robust policies and procedures.

Not immediately clear is what led to the school employee betraying her position of authority, power and trust to subjugate her male victim.

A judge told Cranick’s parents that they have to pay 10% percent of the $500,000 bond to release her and take her back to Pennsylvania, where she’s originally from, WFSB reported.

Married school counselor, 35, has sex w/ 14 year old

Kelly Schutte Pennridge South Middle School counselor charged with institutional sexual assault after having sexual relationship with 14 year old student.

A Pennsylvania guidance counselor has been charged with institutional sexual assault after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student at the school where she works.

Kelly Schutte, 35, who is married with a child, was arraigned on Friday on additional charges including indecent assault and corruption of minors. She was released on $25,000 bail.

Investigators first learned of Schutte alleged relationship at Pennridge South Middle School in Bucks County in July.

‘romantic and sexual relationship’

Police were informed of the woman’s actions by the boy’s mother who told told cops her son had been in a ‘romantic and sexual relationship’ with Schutte since fall 2022.

The mother only found out about the indecent liaison after a family member of Schutte’s caught the woman and the teen at her family home and demanded the teen’s parents come and pick the boy up.

During police questioning, the teenage boy explained how the relationship began as the pair sat next to one another on a school bus during a class field trip.

From there, the pair started corresponding with one another as they sent messages on Canvas, a special app staff use to talk to students, FOX29 reported.

Eventually the boy started to miss classes with him spending more time with her in her school office, according to court papers seen by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

When the summer break started, the pair remained in contact, via Snapchat.

Relative walks in on school counselor and her teen victim

The affidavit reveals how the pair’s relationship became physical in June with the two having sex in Schutte’s car in a remote section of a Pennsburg supermarket parking lot.

Another sexual encounter occurred in the boy’s bedroom in West Rockhill Township when the teen’s parents were out of town.

Authorities said the boy described the sexual activity as kissing and inappropriate touching.

Schutte allegedly laid on top of him and touched him. The student’s parents and sister were out of town at the time, court documents stated.

Investigators say one of Schutte’s earrings was found to have been left behind at the boy’s house and given to investigators.

The relationship was first discovered by a relative in July after they walked in on the boy and Schutte, kissing at her home, after which the teenager confessed and told his mother.

On the night in question, the panicked teen called his parents asking to be picked up from Schutte’s home where he explained how one of her family members had caught them together.

The family member angrily told the teen victim to get out. The boy ran out and hid on a nearby street waiting for his parents to pick him up.

Abuse of trust, authority and power

Shutte has been placed her on administrative leave since July when Pennridge School District first learned of the allegations against her.

Shutte has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and avoid all Pennridge School District property, Montgomery County District Attorney Kate Delano explained.

‘While we refrain from making premature judgments about the actions of the staff member facing prosecution, it is crucial to reiterate the district’s stance against any inappropriate contact between a Pennridge School District employee and a student,’ Pennridge Superintendent Angelo Berrios said in a statement on Friday.

‘Such behavior will not be tolerated.’

‘I hope she pays for it. I feel bad for the parents, too and the kid. That kid has to live with that for the rest of their life,’ said Lisa Law to ABC6.

‘My stomach turns, it does. And I feel so bad for the child and their family,’ said Carol Lynch.

Not immediately clear is what led to the school counselor abusing her position of trust, authority and power to subjugate her young male victim.

A preliminary hearing for Schutte is scheduled for Nov. 20.

I know it sexist to think this way but a female having sex with a UA male seems like a win for the kid. A male having sex with an UA female seems like it could mess with the girls head. To me looking at these females those boys were lucky.
