I'm a believer that there's enough blame to go around. But when you talk about philosophy, the Right, Repubs, Conservatives, are closer to my agenda. Does that mean I blindly drink the Kool Aid? I hope not. I held my nose when I voted for John McCain, but certainly not because he was too far to the Right. He wasn't my dream occupier of the bully puppet, but he was much closer to it than Mr. Obama. A lot of my social agenda is fairly liberaterian. Legalizing pot, my love of porn, legal casino gambling in Junior Highs, that sort of thing. But I'm no closer to any of that voting for McCain (or any Repub) than I would be voting for Mr. Obama (or any Dem). Or vice versa. The beaches I choose to die on are small government, guns and low taxes. The blind swinging slander is nothing new. It really isn't. Jefferson was slandered, Andrew Jackson was. Lincoln was shit on daily by mainstream papers, North and South. Cleveland's illigitimate kid was fodder for his opponents. Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton fought a fucking duel, for Christ's sake. Can you even begin to imagine that happening today? Truth be told, I'd love to see Todd Palin sock Joe Biden in the snookum. That would be TV gold. Just for fun, I do know who the Brown Shirts were. They were National Socialists. Socialists. They were one of many breeds of Marxist/ Leninist/ Trotskyists who were battling for the political soul of Weimar Germany. They (Hitler, Hess, Himmler, Georing et al) were smart enough to realize that a revolution by the "workers" wasn't feasible without the support of industrialists. They looked at post- Revoltion Russia and were able to see that letting the "workers" run the factories was a recipe for disaster. Especially when you're gearing up for for a little adventurism. So the industrialists had to be protected. The government ran the means of production, but they let those who knew how to actually run the production to think they were in charge. Had Alfried Krupp chosen not to participate, have no illusion that he and his family would not have been trussed up in the back of a car and hauled off to the nearest concentration camp. In fact, Gustav Krupp lost the company to Alfried, by order of Hitler himself, when Gustav balked at Hitler's visions of world domination. This was not a Corporate Philosophy, at least as we know it. Well, I guess we see it now, with Mr. Obama firing the head of GM. (I'm not saying Obama's a Nazi by any means) Red

The inherent bias is frankly annoying. It is no worse than Ann Coulter referring to him as Hussein. Are we really all that stupid that we have to resort to silly names or have we sunk to the FOX news/MSNBC only reporting "facts" as we believe and/or want them to be with little regard for reality. You may have strong arguments, and I am all for a good debate but silly word games instantly diminish your credibility in my eyes. Code:

What, militarily, has he done that makes us look like milquetoasts? I probably shouldn't get involved in this thread as one of my main frustrations is that we as a country can no longer seem to have an intelligent debate. We instantly devolve into name calling and a "with us or against us" mentality that stifles independent thinking and leads to the person who shouts the loudest winning.
