You know, you gave the guy your number. so what if he sent you a text, everybody sends texts and who cares if he is abbreviating. maybe this is the one, you never know, but instead what you are doing is shutting him down without finding out what he is really about. If you were never gonna give him a chance you never should have given ur number. (oh wait should I have spelled out your?) Maybe the guy was nervous, maybe a little tipsy and maybe just maybe "he thought" you were/are sexy. Give everyone a break, call the guy and say hey lets grab some lunch, if he is a lame then walk the fuck out. If not give him a reach around at the table. (now that would be romantic)

i think part of the problem is women getting stuck with the expectation to be a lady, too. everything would be less stressful if we didn't have roles we're supposed to play, if people could just say what they want, and KNOW what they want. if you don't, how do you get what you want? i agree with everything you said.

you shouldn't have rules to follow, like how long to wait till you call after you get a number, or how many bases you can cross on which date. you should just be able to LIVE, and if something goes wrong, try again! AND dinner bills should be 50/50 unless it's someone's birthday. women want equality? go ahead and take it!! i never in my life called a girl who slept with me a whore. nope, i just appreciated the hell out of it.

I don't ever really give any of the guys I meet at bars a second thought, I don't give out my number, I always make up an excuse if I don't like them, one time a guy wouldn't take no for an answer and he was pretty wasted to I convinced him that him and I have the same phone number so its impossible for him to ever text me or call me. It was awesome bc we have mutual friends and they gave him shit for that
