Great Blue Hole

The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole off the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 100 kilometres (62 mi) from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is circular in shape, over 300 metres (984 ft) across and 125 metres (410 ft) deep.[1] It was formed as a limestone cave system during the last glacial period when sea levels were much lower. As the ocean began to rise again, the caves flooded, and the roof collapsed.[2] Believed to be the world?s largest feature of its kind, the Great Blue Hole is part of the larger Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a World Heritage Site of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Mauna Kea

Mauna Kea is well-known to locals as, believe it or not, a great place for skiing and snowboarding. Many people travel to the mountain every winter because it often has snow at its summit and because there is a road leading up to it. In fact, it is because of its sometimes snowy summit that the Hawaiians named it Mauna Kea (or "White Mountain"). But be careful if you plan to visit. The air is thin up there and extremely gusty winds (upwards of 50-70 mph) can sometimes blow at the Mauna Kea summit.

Mauna Kea has an altitude of 4,205 meters (13,796 feet) - much lower than Mount Everest. However, Mauna Kea is an island and if the distance from the bottom of the nearby ocean floor to the peak of the island is measured, then Mauna Kea is taller than Mount Everest.

Mauna Kea is over 10,000 meters tall compared to 8,848 meters for Mount Everest - making it the world's tallest mountain.

The Bay of Fundy, Canada

The Bay of Fundy is renown for having the highest tides on the planet (16.2 metres or 53 feet). One hundred billion tonnes of sea water flows in and out of the Bay of Fundy twice daily ? more water than the combined flow of all the world?s fresh water rivers. Fundy?s extreme tides create a dynamic and diverse marine ecosystem.
The Bay is renown for its coastal rock formations, extreme tidal effects (vertical, horizontal, rapids and bores) and sustainable coastal development. It is also a critical international feeding ground for migratory birds, a vibrant habitat for rare and endangered Right whales, one of the world?s most significant plant and animal fossil discovery regions.

Located in one of the flattest places on earth. This 2,831 feets high single rock is all that is left of a mountain range that has been eroded in time.

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Also known as the the bay of the descending dragon the bay has calm waters and thousands of limestone mountains dotting the seascape. Some of the islands are quite large and there are small alcoves with sandy beaches where swimming is possible. The legend tells of a time long ago when the locals were battling foreign invaders and the gods sent them a family of dragons to help them defend their land. This family of dragons descended upon what is now Ha Long bay and began spitting out jewels and jade. Upon hitting the sea, these jewels turned into the various islands and islets dotting the seascape and formed a formidable fortress against the invaders. The locals were able to keep their land safe and formed what is now the country of Vietnam. The Dragon family fell so much in love with this area for its calm water and for the reverence of the people of Vietnam that they decided to remain on earth. Mother dragon lies on what is now Ha Long and where her children lie is Bai Tu Long. The dragon tails formed the area of Bach Long Vi known for the miles of white sandy beaches of Tra Co peninsula

EPIC thread! Thanks! Right off hand Mt. St. Michel comes to mind. Both the awesomeness of the structure and the waters that surround it (much like the Bay of Fundy).

]I'm a pathetic noob so I can't post a link or pics.
