Never heard of that one. I have read "Secret Life of a Satanist" in which the negative aspects of his life were accredited to Satanism. I honestly do not blame the belief for the problems as much as I blame the partying and bad financial decisions.

I have read more of LeVay's stuff, quite a bit of the current CoS's stuff, as well as ToS, and I was an Advocate for the League of Independent Satanists for two years. I follow Sass and Gilmore a bit, but find them overly elitist and thus boring and hard to relate to.

You also have to remember that LeVay was a pretentious prick and quite fond of BSing to boot. Most of the rules were filtered through his need for his work to measure up in a literary context against people like Crowley.
