Is it just the right-click menu that doesn't work? Have you tried [ctrl+c/ctrl+v] and [shift+delete/shift+insert]?

Also, I'm not quite sure from your post...Is it a specific place that it fails and always fails or does it sometimes fail and sometimes work from the same place, same program, etc?

seems to not work in firefox but works in IE. but some times on dsf for eg. that if i go to copy a link that it wont give me the options of copy and paste but other times a get 40 options when i right click. not sure whats going on

Yeah...99% of the time, this is caused by a low resource issue. Windows has so little memory available that it starts cutting out smaller, less important functions. When this happens, close every single program you can. IE all that crap you have running down by the clock...Windows that you're not using...If you have like 10 tabs in Firefox or multiple windows open. Chances are, that'll resolve the problem.
