Do you intend to or is there an opportunity to? In the RAF we got a pax trip if we served for a few years on the same squadron, although it came down to the co's discretion.

Try building them to spec in a Union house.[/quote]
This may only be interesting to me because it relates to my field of employment but the first Airplane that Boeing built entirely using CAD (computer aided design) was the 757 which took it's maiden flight in 1998. It is amazing to think that all those fighter and military jets were designed using fairly unsophisticated design methods. That means that the people that designed them were very intelligent.

I have no say it. The jet I work on you have to be on flying status and go through the same training the crews do because of the ejection seats. Supposedly I was put on flying status because I'm so awesome, but I have yet to do any of the training. Not like I'd ever get to fly anyway. It's pretty rare that any maintainers get to fly with the crew except for crew chiefs.
And any time the jets deploy, they like to charter commercial jets to take all the support personal because I think it ends up being cheaper then flying in a C-17 or C-130 or whatever. Yeah. They did do a BSART a while back where they flew down to another base and they used a C-130 to take the maintainers. But despite being a part of every BSART prior to that, I missed out on that one.
This bird strike video has been around for a while. For those that don't know, this is an F-16. One engine so a bird taking it out is a bit of a problem. These guys have to eject.
