on a serious-er side note, its really sad just how irrelevant MLB has become nowadays. NFL runs shit, and NBA is still up there....what happened to baseball? I used to really like/follow it, but I follow it in passing.... Steroids?

i wouldn't say irrelevant. the money in baseball is still there (20+mil/yr contracts handed out like nothing).
hardcore baseball fans are still out there. you just have to love baseball to follow it. football = gambling, basketball = the "cool" hip-hop/face league, baseball = boring lol
DON'T even think about reading this book. It is full of lies! LIES I SAY!

I fucking hate football because it has stolen the spotlight form baseball. Seriously on opening fucking day I had to wait for an NFL show to finish on ESPN so I could watch highlights. They had to talk about who teams would take in the draft that was coming up the following month. You will never see another sport have a show come on a nearly daily basis in the offseason.
People are fucking meatheads who like to see the violence and don't want to think too much when watching a sport, and yeah betting on football is a huge draw. Baseball is a numbers game. People hate math. Baseball loses. UFC is more popular than baseball. Again, violence and meatheadedness.
