I knew that they were trying toban Gun Show in Cali and I really don't have a problem with registering and recording ammo sales, just as long as they don't try to put a limit on the amount you can purchase. I like the idea of securing the ammo from theft and personally think that sales of guns or ammo, except to registered dealer, should be prohibited. I know the NRA might not agree with me, but that is just my personal opinion.

I didn't read the whole thread but a proposal was being pushed by a company that holds a patent on bullet-coding technology. But none of the 31 bills introduced last year (2008) ever made it out of committee.
