South of the Border is great if you like over-priced, under-quality food and beverages. It's really just the worst truckstop in history disguised as an attraction. When I lived in Charleston as a kid we'd stop there on the way to Pennsylvania every once in a while. I've been there as recently as a few years ago on way to/from Myrtle Beach and it's not much better. I'd be worried about the treatment these animals are getting to be honest.

well, I know the guys who run it and it's a really nice exhibit. The guys who own SOTB have nothing to do with it. They like it because it brings in extra traffic. But real croc guys are running it, and they might want me to come down there and run the place. I was wondering what it is like to live around there.

Sxsw was completely awesome. Partied and went and saw so many bands... most of which I'd never heard of. I saw Jack White perform out of a truck. I also saw Mike Tyson drinking at a hotel bar. I saw Misha Barton at a bar. One night when we were out I saw some girl that was a dead ringer for Mila Kunis and I swore it was her but nobody else thought it was her so i guess i was wrong - I was really fucked up most of the time i was there so maybe that's why. We probably wouldve noticed more ppl but we were hammered most nights. We tried to see Michael Cera's band out of curiosity but we missed it. Kanye did a surprise show and we missed that too but i did see She Wants Revenge which i made a point to see. We didn't get to see any of the movies we wanted to see, so that sucked balls.
Austin is awesome. Kind of small but nice. So many hot chicks there and I seriously couldnt believe how hot it was there already in March but it worked out bcuz all the chicks wore tiny shorts which was awesome. I have to say that i dunno if it was just the spirit of the festival or if Texas girls are easy but I have never been to a place where the chicks are so receptive to conversation and meeting people. I don't think I've met so many ppl in such a short time span. I had a great time and I wanna go back every fucking year.
Only thing that sucked were the lines to get in everywhere.

How the hell could it compare to NYC? I feel like once you live there, everyplace else would suck in comparison. Maybe you're over it though since you've lived there for so long...
