I took my final this morning and I swear to God that my test had this exact question on it. "Describe the cultural differences of why people have children.".... I laughed to myself thinking about this thread....

We (me and her) had a child because we wanted to, i can understand some of the arguments on here, but when it comes down to it we all have our reasons for and against.

Don't get me wrong.... If you really want to have a kid, and your not doing it for the reasons of "i just think they're so cute" or "i didn't get to be a cheerleader or play football, and a kid will let me live that dream", then have at it.

However, I see a lot of people who have the kid because they really want one, then dump it off in day care, at the grandparents, with baby sitters, etc... and they barely spend any time with it. When i want a new toy or a gadget and i get bored with it, there are really no repercussions. When you do that with a kid, you usually end up with a little reprobate running around.

I do agree with you here, I know several parents that do this...and then HAVE MORE KIDS...makes no sense to me

You're right and, without sounding like a fucking politician or a church leader, in my opinion thats whats wrong with the world today. Too many people looking for an excuse and not enough taking responsibility for their actions.
