Thanks! I am more then proud of myself at the moment I am still a work in progress. I start out at 334 on June 1st 2011 and as of this morning I was 212. I am trying to get down to 195 by June 1st of this year. Then I am going to hit the weight room and add muscle. I am in better shape at 47 than I have ever been.

Start on the weights now. No reason to wait. It will raise you metabolism, and you will lose fat faster. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn.

I'm in the gym 4 to 5 times a week for an hour or more each visit doing stationary bike, elliptical and jogging/walking a couple of miles on the track. The weights was something I was going to do once I hit my goal.

That's great and you should be very proud. I am a certified fitness trainer, so I am just trying to help. If you can do a little resistance training at least twice a week, you will definitely benefit from it. The sooner you start the better. Just don't overwhelm yourself and fall off track. start slow. Keep up the good work!

Congrats man!! I have helped a few people drop significant amounts of weight before and witnessed their struggles. What you are doing is working so keep pushing. You have honestly added 10 years to your life and maybe prevented diabetes among other things. Good stuff!!
