Totally. MMA is probably only behind the NFL right now in terms of what I get into and there's a chance that MMA has surpassed football. There's something about it that I just love to dive into, a lot to learn and follow. I've enjoyed a lot of the WEC cards I've seen, those Featherweight and Bantamweights put on fights that are so amazing. EliteXC has left me a little disappointed, but I watch it none the less as I'm a homer for Scott Smith.

I'm right there with you and the desire for being able to get teh Affliction fight. They really are going to have a lock on the athletic heavyweights that if you're going to want to see some gigantic guys beat the shit out of eachother you're going to have to watch Affliction. Plus, I want to see Fedor destroy Timmy. God I hate Timmy.

Oh, and I can't stand boxing.

I think it really just depends. I heard awhile back that they wanted Fihlo to fight Anderson Silva because there was talks about him being the next best Middleweight in the world (or at least under Zuffa contract ) but a lot of that died down after he was having trouble putting away Sonen (don't get me started on that fight) and he said he would not want to fight Anderson because they train together. I wouldn't be surprised if they start pulling some of the lighter classes over to see if the UFC PPV audience likes it and buys into it. Personally, that WEC card on Versus a couple of weeks ago was PPV worthy and just goes to show you the kind of product they're putting out there.

i would tend to lean to the side of No, from what i understand the wec is like a "AAA" or farm team to the ufc as zuffa sees it, or may try to keep it. the 145lb guys are the main draw there and they are to make stars or fighters to move into the ufc at a later date pending skill and results in the fights.

i could be wrong but thats what i have gleaned from sites that i visit

I'd say your right on with that. Unless they get in financial trouble, I think they'll stay separate. If they need something new, they'll poach the good fighters and probably let WEC fold or hibernate for a bit, but that's unlikely.

F i agree that was a great card WEc or not, that was better than lots of ufc cards the last couple of years, i missed the first part of the fight cuz i was playing ball and then my car broke down in DQ drive thru, but i caught the last 3 fights and re watched the whole thing over again right after and could have watched it a 3rd time with out a prob

sunday night softball, my slack league, really relaxed, more getting drunk than playin. i was just glad the car made it out of the drive thru, it died right out on the street out front. i wasnt that mad when i saw what broke, it was an easy fix the next day, took an hr. but the fight did take my mind off everything else

Sounds like my kind of softball league. I've been trying to catch on with one around here and have been able to find enough buddies in town to field our own team and I really hate playing with people that I can't totally yell at for fucking up ie: bosses and/or coworkers who can take a little constructive criticism.

if anyone is still interested in downloading some more fights here's a good one. finals of the pride '05 middleweight grand prix and fedor vs. cro-cop. incase you've only seen shogun against griffin then this is a must have since it shows his true abilities
