That was why I put the (sp?) after it, because I was unsure of my spelling. I mean, it's fairly uncommon name. I'm sure you had to look it up.


Jack K. may have hated hippies, but he was still a part of the Beat movement. On the fringes, I'll admit, but part of it nonetheless.

I have to admit my posting was pretty early in the morning and my mind was a little cloudy. I was having some trouble conjuring up names of beatnik writers. I almost put "the Naked Lunch" guy because I was seriously blanking on Burroughs name.

Since when has knowing about anything been a requirement for expounding on anything here? Did I miss the memo?

I've only read a couple of Burrough's books. It's kind of an acquired taste. He was a degenerate junkie trainwreck, but his writing was fascinating. A lot of crap creativity comes from pain, but a lot of genius does.

Can anyone tell me what a Gypsy is? I remember there was a Gypsy King up where Bexxx lives several years ago. But I never really knew what they were. Are they a race, or religion, or what?
