I could have went to any college in Indiana for the grand total of free but I didn't. Wasn't interested in a full 4 yr college thing...started at a tech school but between a full time job 45 min from home one direction, school 1 hr from home the opposite direction and a full course load, a chronic disease that would eventually lead to being completely unable to work, and being newly married...I quit. And don't regret it simply because it would have been wasted in a way. I'd not be using any schooling I'd had now. Not that I think education of any kind is a waste but...if you're not using what was paid for...what's the point?
That said, I'm an insatiable reader. If it is a topic I like. People have told me I should have been a doctor. Sadly, the very thing that led to my interest in certain medical fields is what would have kept me from being a doctor.
Now, I am happy being a SAHM. I don't think working moms are evil and horrible for working and putting their kids in daycare like many SAHMs. But, I know how great it was that my Mom was always home for me. And I love spending time with MiniBC, he's a blast. I'm lucky we can get by without me working. It'd be a lot easier if I could. But, I can't so...this is all good too.
