Brittany Fortinberry married Martinsville, Indiana teacher in new additional charges against the Eminence High School teacher is alleged to have had group sex with three to five underage boys and threatening suicide if her victims told authorities. Educator is now accused of sexually abusing no less than 10 underage boys.

A married Indiana teacher previously facing chid sexual abuse charges is facing new additional charges after prosecutors say she ‘forced’ three underage boys to participate in group sex along with ordering her ‘victims’ to wear a Scream mask during the act, along with threatening suicide if the victims told authorities.

Brittany Fortinberry, a former math teacher at Eminence High School in Martinsville faces multiple child sex abuse charges over the new revealed episode. The strife comes amid new accusations made by the teacher’s friend’s son and at least 5 other victims stepping forward, WISH-TV reported.

10 additional underage victims alleged

Fortinberry, 31, according to a criminal affidavit is accused of ‘r*ping’ at least 10 underage boys.

Fortinberry to date has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy along with allegedly sending explicit messages, pictures and videos to other teen student victims at the school.

Authorities began investigating the alleged abuse in August 2024 after two high school students told staff that their math teacher allegedly sending them ‘inappropriate’ Instagram messages and videos of her sex toys and a stripper pole at her Martinsville home, according to a police probable cause affidavit.

In latest developments, prosecutors on Tuesday filed a motion to add 10 counts of child molestation, eight counts of dissemination of matter harmful to a minor, five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, according to WTHR.

In further alleged depravity, Fortinberry’s husband, Nicholas Fortinberry, is accused of having been aware of the trysts along with even encouraging the alleged abuse, according to court documents obtained by WTHR.

Fortinberry’s friend told Detective Sergeant Patrick Williams of Morgan County Sheriff’s Office how her son had been groomed by the teacher, according to the officer’s affidavit.

She detailed how Fortinberry allegedly showered her son with expensive football gifts and tried to message him repeatedly on SnapChat, until the boy’s mom told him to block her.

The parent said her suspicions were roused following charges against Fortinberry stemming from her time at Eminence High School.

The alleged victim’s mom told cops that her son claimed that, ‘Brittany would put the shrooms on a peanut butter sandwich so they couldn’t taste them’.

The boy further claimed how on one occasion Fortinberry picked him and two friends up and took them to the mall, before calling their parents to ask if they could spend the night.

Once there, the then 13-year-old alleged Fortinberry ordered him and his two friends to have group sex with her, despite the youngsters all being underage.

‘Brittany had one condition for them to have the g*ngb*ng with her and that was that they had to wear a Scream mask to f**k her,’ the affidavit stated.

That was a reference to the famous black and white ‘ghostface’ mask worn by the killers in the Scream series of horror movies.

But there’s more.

Fortinberry is alleged to have told the underage boy how him she would ‘self pleasure’ over his school photos, according to the filings.

The victim’s mother told cops that she had allegedly seen a video that Fortinberry sent to her son of her which showed her carrying out a sexual act with his boxers.

The boy further claimed Fortinberry’s husband Nicholas Fortinberry being aware of the alleged abuse and threatened to ‘slaughter him in front of his family’ if he spoke about it.

Nicholas has since been charged with intimidation and failure to report a crime, FOX59 reported.

The allegations by the other three alleged victims are equally graphic and contain similarities to the first boy’s account.

They also contain claims that Fortinberry sent nude photographs and videos via social media and spent hundreds of dollars on weed, vapes and clothing for the alleged victims.

One child claimed being sent topless photos by Fortinberry, who also allegedly showed off her sex toys and stripper poles in a series of ‘explicit’ messages.

Fortinberry is further alleged to have threatened to kill herself if her victims ever reported the alleged sex abuse.

Following her arrest, police said that Fortinberry told them that she regretted losing 150lbs and would have acted differently if she was still heavier.

Fortinberry was ‘immediately suspended’ from her role with Eminence schools after the allegations emerged in August last year and resigned a day after.

Fortinberry who continues to be held at the Morgan County Jail following her arrest last month has since had her bond increased from $20,000 to $150,000.

The concerned mother asked her son if anything had happened to him, according to the affidavit.

The boy began to cry, telling his mother how Fortinberry had allegedly bombarded him with sexually explicit videos of herself along with providing him with drugs and alcohol, the document states.

The boy told Detective Williams that Fortinberry, ‘would always make him food and would buy him anything he wanted’ including ‘vapes, weed, and THC carts (cartridges)’, according to the affidavit, the dailymail reported.

The boy alleged several instances where Fortinberry allegedly plied him and friends with mushroom pills before encouraging them to touch her sexually.

‘Brittany would peer pressure them if they didn’t want to take the shrooms,’ the affidavit stated according to the dailymail. ‘Brittany would grab their arm she would say, “just let it happen”.’

Married special ed teacher arrested for molesting 15 year old breaks down after learning of charges

Christina Formella recently married special ed teacher at Illinois’ Downers Grove South High School caught on bodycam video having crises reaction upon learning of her arrest and charges against her early March.

‘I’m, like, so scared….’ The married Illinois special education teacher accused of molesting one of her teen students was captured breaking down in heaving sobs after learning of the charges she faced, newly released bodycam footage of her arrest shows.

Christina Formella, 30, gasped for air and cried as she was placed in the back of a Downers Grove Police car on March 16, according to arrest footage published by the YouTube channel Ape Huncho.

‘Oh my God. What the f–k?’ Formella repeated, as the disbelieving educator cried into her cuffed hands with her knees pulled up to her chest, video shows.
‘I feel like I’m gonna throw up,’ she said, as officers are seen rushing to find her a bag and towels in case she got sick.

Formella, a special education teacher at Downers Grove South High School, had just been detained over allegations that she molested a 15-year-old student she tutored and coached in soccer two years earlier.

The two allegedly exchanged illicit texts professing love for one another — including sharing explicit details about sex they had in a campus classroom.

‘I love you sooooo much baby… Even though this morning was short, it was perfect,’ Formella, who was 28 at the time, allegedly texted the boy.

Responded the teen victim, ‘I know baby I love it so much… It feels so good… It’s so passionate. .. It’s so intimate … It’s so perfect.’

Their texts were discovered days before her arrest as the boy’s mother was setting up a new phone for him — prompting him to confess the alleged relationship that he says he ended, and report it to police.

On the day of her arrest mid March, Formella was pulled over by police in her Chicago suburb as she was driving with her husband. Formella appeared confused (pay attention to the giant engagement ring she was wearing) when she was asked to step out of the car.

‘You can just grab whatever you need,’ a police officer said after confirming her identity.

‘Whatever I need?’ the discombobulated woman asked, while her confused husband asks, ‘Is she going somewhere?’

Kids, does it get any crazier? How could the husband have not known? Pay attention to the attempts at straight face.

‘Yeah, we’re going to explain everything to you,’ the officer (who by now has seen it all) responded, telling Formella that she was the subject of an investigation and needed to be taken to the station in handcuffs.

‘I’m, like, so scared,‘ (‘I’m so f busted. My life is ruined’) a clearly shocked Formella said as she was cuffed and then put in the back of a squad car.

‘Is my husband coming with?’ she said as the car drove off. ‘Am I in trouble? I am so lost right now,’ she (the dear in the headlights) added, while officers told her they could only say she was being detained for an investigation and that she’d learn more when she got to the police station.

During her interview with police, Formella claimed she was being blackmailed by her accuser — and insisted she was being targeted because she was ‘good-looking.’

‘She claimed that one day, [the boy] had grabbed her phone unattended, had entered her passcode … had sent the message to his phone, had then deleted the message from her phone, and had saved it to his phone as blackmail,’ according to court documents from her arrest.

‘[Formella said] everybody comes after her because she is good looking and she is just a good person who cared too much about [the boy],’ they added.

It remained unclear what motive the teen would have had in ‘blackmailing’ his then teacher, never mind how the 15 year boy having alleged access to the teacher’s private passcode.

Formella was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and was released on the condition that she not enter school grounds or have contact with anybody under 18.

Formella was also placed on paid leave from her job.

Wedding photos on social media show the educator and her husband — who was a student athlete with her at Concordia University — getting married as recently as August.

She had been teaching at Downers Grove High since 2020 and earned her teaching license in 2017.

Ohio Catholic teacher says husband neglect led her to arms of student

Emily Nutley former Ohio Catholic teacher at St. Xavier High in Cincinnati pleads guilty to having sex with student. Blames ‘husband neglect’ to her ‘falling’ to the arms of student victim.

A former Catholic school employee from Ohio admitted Monday to having sex with a minor student, claiming that her husband’s neglect made her do it.

Emily Nutley, 43, who had been facing six counts of sex crimes against her, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery in a plea deal after admitting to having a physical relationship with a 17-year-old student of Cincinnati’s St. Xavier High School in November and December, 2023.

Ohio Catholic teacher says husband neglect led her to arms of student

A few weeks after the indictment, Nutley’s husband, Jonathan Nutley, filed for divorce, prompting his wife to claim her estranged husband was ‘guilty of gross neglect of duty and extreme cruelty,’ according to TMZ.

Nutley directed academic services at St. Xavier, and supervised a program aimed at helping teens who were struggling academically, according to court documents.

She started out helping the teen with his schoolwork, then expanded that beyond school hours, sending him nude photos and sexually explicit messages. She allegedly performed oral sex on him and had sex with him in her office and elsewhere after school hours. When he tried to end it, Nutley continued contacting him, according to reports.

The sexual relationship came to light due to an internal investigation by St. X administrators after the educator’s teen victim coming forward. Springfield Township police then investigated the allegations, which led to the charges.

St. Xavier fired Nutley immediately for what then Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers branded ‘absolutely unacceptable and reprehensible’ conduct.

The educator was indicted on 3rd degree felony charges in October 2024 after her accuser came forward, but four of those charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal, WLWT reported.

Abuse of position of trust, authority and power

‘This child was in need of help and guidance but instead found an adult looking to act out her perverted sexual desires,’ Powers said when Nutley was indicted last October, according to WLWT.

Adding, ‘Let me be very clear: This is child sexual abuse. This child was the victim of an adult predator who should never again have a role that puts her in contact with children. She used this child for her own sexual gratification while taking advantage of the position she held.’

Nutley said in court that she worked as a counselor for 18 years, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The admission of guilt comes as teachers are forbidden from using their position of authority, trust and power and sexually praying on their student victims.

Nutley could spend up to 10 years behind bars, and must register as a sex offender, WCPO reported.

She is expected back in court on April 15, and her sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 10.

Elena Milby Bardin, Kentucky teacher charged with sex abuse of Adair County juvenile inmate who she asked to kill husband in alleged murder plot.

A teacher in Kentucky has been accused of sexually abusing an inmate at a an Adair County juvenile detention center where she worked — and then trying to get the youngster to kill her husband.

Elena Milby Bardin, 27, was arrested after a routine search of a boy’s room at the county’s juvenile detention center on March 27 unearthed ‘letters and explicit material’ the alleged victim had been sent by the teacher, who was assigned to teach there, according to Kentucky State Police.


Juvenile victim solicited to kill Kentucky husband

Evidence ‘revealed that Ms. Bardin had subjected the juvenile to illegal sexual contact and provided him with sexually explicit images of herself,’ police alleged, without saying how old the boy was.

The evidence also showed Bardin had ‘solicited’ the same boy ‘to kill her husband,’ the statement said.

It did not elaborate on exactly how it was requested, or why, and there was no mention of any attempts being made on the spouse’s life.

Bardin was arrested on Wednesday and charged with solicitation of murder as well as first-degree sexual abuse and distributing obscene matter to minors.

She was booked at the Adair County Detention Center, where no bond has been set, according to jail records.

Bardin does not have a lawyer at this time and there is no date yet for her first court appearance.

The juvenile has not been charged with any crimes at this time.

It was not clear how old how the juvenile came to end up at the correctional facility.

Panama City teacher has sex with 18 year old student after he sees her crying

Erika Mattson, Panama City teacher at Kaleidoscope School of Discovery, arrested having sex with 18 year old student after he sees her crying.

A Florida middle school teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student at her school in Panama City.

Erika Mattson, 36, a teacher at Kaleidoscope School of Discovery, was arrested on April 10 and charged her with a single count of authority figure engaging in sexual conduct with a student, according to a release from the Panama City Police Department.

Notice of the alleged indiscretion came after the student told officers that he and Mattson embarked on a ‘sexual and romantic relationship’ starting in May 2023.




Abuse of authority figure of position of trust and power

‘The victim stated that the relationship began after he saw [Mattson] crying in her classroom and approached her,’ according to an arrest affidavit cited by the Panama City News Herald.

Mattson had been the student’s middle school teacher at Kaleidoscope School of Discovery years prior but at the time of the relationship the student was 18 and attending the high school, which was housed in the same building as the middle school, according to the affidavit.

The student told police that he and Mattson began to message each other and started “flirting,’ which eventually resulted in the pair deciding to go on a date.

The student said that he and Mattson went to a local movie theater but ‘never made it inside,’ and instead ‘talked and made out.’



Numerous amounts of sex

‘The victim could not advise exactly how many times the two engaged in sexual activity while he was still enrolled in school but advised it happened numerous times before he graduated,’ the affidavit stated according to People Mag.

The victim told police they continued the relationship after he graduated and provided authorities with photos of himself shirtless being ’embraced and kissed’ by Mattson according to the affidavit.

Even though the student was 18, police said the teacher violated state statute because she was an authority figure at the school the student was enrolled in.

Mattson was booked into the Bay City Jail on Thursday and then released after posting $25,000 bond. She is now due back in court on May 15 to be arraigned in the case.

She is choosing to represent herself in the case, according to court records.


A few days later, the student went to Mattson’s home and the two engaged in sexual intercourse, according to the affidavit.

Opelika teacher accused of having sex with 12 year old student

Jill Brisendine Campbell, Opelika middle school teacher in Alabama accused of ongoing sexual abuse of boy beginning when victim was just 12 and educator 37 years old.

A long time Alabama middle school teacher has been accused of engaging in years long sexual relationship with a former student who was 12-years-old when the abuse first began according to police.

Jill Brisendine Campbell, 47, a middle school educator at Opelika, AL, was arrested last week over the victim’s claim that she sexually abused him for years, beginning in 2015, when he was just 12.

According to the Opelika Police Department, a parent met with Opelika City Schools Superintendent Dr. Farrell Seymore on April 14th to report concerns their son had been sexually involved with the middle school teacher while he was in the seventh and eighth grades. The school system immediately notified law enforcement.

Abuse of position of trust, power and authority

Campbell, who has been employed by Opelika Middle School since July 2003, was arrested on April 25th on charges of second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy. She has since been released on a $35,000 bond according to a Facebook release from the Opelika Police Department.

Opelika City Schools has placed Campbell on administrative leave and is fully cooperating with the investigation, WRBL reported.

According to court documents, Campbell was 37-years-old when the alleged abuse began in 2015. The complaint states she engaged in sexual intercourse and oral sex with the minor, with contact continuing until 2017. Investigators also allege the victim contacted Campbell by text message, during which she confirmed the relationship occurred while the student attended Opelika Middle School.

Opelika Police Chief Shane Healey said protecting students remains a top priority. ‘Protecting our students is a priority and responsibility we all share. If you have any information about this case or any other crime, we urge you to come forward,’ Healey said.

Opelika City Schools issued a statement saying Campbell was placed on administrative leave and, due to the ongoing investigation, no additional details would be released at this time.

Not immediately clear is what led to the female educator abusing her position of trust, authority and power and subjugating her young male victim.

Jill Brisendine Campbell is scheduled to return to court on May 7.

Married special education teacher, 35, plies student, 16, with weed before sex

Michelle Mercogliano, married special education teacher at Conestoga High School in Chester County, accused of plying teen boy with medical marijuana and having sex with victim 15 times since February, including at her parent’s home.

A married Pennsylvania special education teacher faces up to 63 charges for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old student in her parents’ home after plying her male victim with marijuana.

Michelle Mercogliano, 35, a teacher at Conestoga High School in Chester County, PA, allegedly had sex with the teen student around a dozen times since February after picking him up after school and taking him to buy him medical marijuana, according to a criminal complaint obtained by WPVI.

‘After traveling to the marijuana dispensary, Mercogliano and [the teen] would smoke marijuana together and have sex, usually in a bedroom at her parents’ residence,’ police wrote in the complaint.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department launched an investigation Monday after being contacted by the accuser’s family about the alleged relationship. Notice of the illicit relationship came after the boy told his sister about Mercogliano who in turn informed their parents.

Filed charges against Mercogliano include institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors stated the Chester County District Attorney’s Office in a Facebook release.

‘The calculated actions by this defendant are shocking and disturbing,’ said Chief Michael Beaty.

‘We are here to support the victim and his family as we collectively work to rebuild the trust damaged by her criminal endeavors,’ Beaty added.

Mercogliano and her student victim allegedly had sex about 12 times, and often in Mercogliano’s parents’ home in Wayne, according to the complaint.

Mercogliano was also said to have provided the boy with pot about 15 times.

She allegedly communicated with him through Snapchat ‘as to go undetected,’ or via text message.



Abuse of position of trust, authority and power

The educator is described as being an academic support teacher at the high school along with working as an adjunct professor at Immaculata University, teaching Italian, according to the district’s website.

The Tredyffrin Easttown School District confirmed that Mercogliano was ‘immediately’ placed on leave after it learned of the allegations this week, according to a letter sent out to the school community.

She’d been teaching at Conestoga since the fall and previously taught at Hillside Elementary School from 2019 to 2024. She had worked as a paraprofessional at Hillside Elementary and Valley Forge Elementary Schools from 2014 to 2018.

‘We have no information at this time to indicate that the criminal investigation involves other students,’ Superintendent Richard Gusick said in a statement.

Chester County District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe said: ‘Parents and students should be able to trust their teachers. The Defendant broke the law and destroyed that trust. It will not be tolerated.’

‘The calculated actions by this Defendant are shocking and disturbing,’ Tredyffrin Township Police Department Police Chief Michael Beaty said.

‘We are here to support the victim and his family as we collectively work to rebuild the trust damaged by her criminal endeavors.’

Mercogliano has not yet been arrested, but the Chester County District Attorney’s Office said she had been ‘cooperative and arranging an appropriate time to turn herself in via her attorney.’

San Diego teacher of the year gets 30 years for sexually preying on minor boys

Jacqueline Ma, former San Diego teacher of the year sentenced to 30 years jail after grooming and sexually abusing two minor boys. Former educator had taught fifth and sixth graders at Lincoln Acres Elementary School in National City. At the time of her arrest she was discovered to be in possession of love letters along with photos of her 12 year old victim in her wallet.

A former teacher of the year in California was on Friday sentenced to 30 years jail after she was convicted of grooming and sexually abusing a pair of minors at a San Diego elementary school.

Jacqueline Ma, 36, San Diego County’s Teacher of the Year in 2022, was arrested in April 2023 and pleaded guilty in February to two counts each of forcible lewd acts on a child and possession of matter depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct.

Former San Diego teacher of the year apologizes

Come Friday, the former ‘prized’ educator was sentenced to 30 years jail according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

‘This defendant violated the trust she had with her students in the most extreme and traumatic way possible and her actions are despicable,’ District Attorney Summer Stephan said. ‘Her victims will have to deal with a lifetime of negative effects and her 30-year sentence is appropriate.’

Leading up to her arrest, Ma, had taught fifth and sixth graders at Lincoln Acres Elementary School in National City. The former elementary school teacher was one of five teachers nominated as the former San Diego County ‘Teacher of the Year’ for the 2022-2023 school year.

Prior to her being handed her sentence, Ma, addressed the court, in which she said she was ‘deeply ashamed of my actions,’ and apologized for ripping ‘away their childhood.’

‘Instead of following the path of what a teacher should be, I let my selfishness override the boys’ best interests,’ the disgraced educator said through tears.

‘I just pray for an extra hand of protection and strength to all of those I’ve hurt. I’m so sorry.’

Jacqueline Ma San Diego teacher calculated sexual grooming and sexual assault of her male victims

Police began investigating Ma after the mother of a 12-year-old boy she’d been grooming contacted authorities upon finding love letters and suggestive text messages she’d written to the child.

The grooming occurred over a 1 year period, prosecutors said.

Despite the boy’s parents not allowing him to have social media or his own electronics, Ma was able to communicate with her male victim through an unsanctioned after-school program and through a school chat application, the district attorney’s office said.

Ma groomed the boy for over a year before she sexually assaulted him in her classroom over a period of three months while his parents believed he was participating in an after-school basketball program, prosecutors said.

At the time of her arrest, Deputy District Attorney Drew Hart described Ma as ‘obsessive, possessive, controlling, and dangerous,’ while saying the teacher kept a photo of her victim in her wallet.

Offered the DA: ‘When she was arrested, she had a photograph of the victim in her wallet, she had jewelry with his initials, love letters were discovered in her classroom. In some of the messages, she expressed frustration at the child for not responding to the situation quicker. She expressed jealousy when the victim was talking to other girls.’

Abuse of authority, trust and power

Adding, ‘In these messages, the defendant was persistent in sending illicit photographs of herself to the victim and then soliciting the victim to do the same.’

Continuing, ‘She would persistently direct him to engage in sex acts while he was at home and record them. The victim expressed at times, not willingness to go along with some of the activities or uncomfortableness with the activities, but that did not stop the defendant from continuing to message.’

Further investigation into Ma revealed that she had targeted and sexually assaulted a second victim, an 11-year-old boy, in 2020, according to the district attorney’s office.

The educator had taught grades fifth and sixth in the National School District since 2013.

When she was named a 2022 Teacher of the Year, an award profile for Ma read that she ‘considers the relationships she maintains with her students her greatest accomplishments,’ according to NBC 7.

Adding, ‘It still feels surreal to be chosen to represent all the amazing educators in San Diego. It’s a huge honor.’

Not immediately clear is what led to the female educator abusing her position of trust, authority and power and subjugating her young male victims.

‘No child deserves what this defendant did and I hope this sentence brings a measure of justice to the victims, their families and the community that was left reeling from this defendant’s crimes,’ District Attorney Stephan said.

Of note, neither victim or their parents attended Friday’s sentencing.

McDONALD COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Investigators with the Sheriff’s office were made aware of a current teacher at the McDonald County High School that was alleged to have had an ongoing sexual relationship with a student in the past.

The findings were submitted to the Prosecutor who then filed 2nd Degree Statutory Rape charges to Joelle Stark of Anderson, Mo.

A warrant for her arrest was issued on Friday and she turned herself in at the jail the following day. She then bonded $10,000 cash/surety on the charge and was released.

he McDonald County R-1 School District release a statement “Upon receiving this information, the district immediately placed the teacher on administrative leave, following standard policy and procedure.”

The district states they are fully cooperating with law enforcement and will continue to do so throughout the course of the investigation.
