Whoa, Georgia has a pretty good offense, you know....but I agree, the offenses in the big 12 are much more prolific, but my main point is the Defense played in the big 12 can't measure up to the D played by the gators, as well as most of the sec....South Carolina was top 3 in the nation...

I still don't see Oklahoma(or Texas, or TTech) putting up 30+ on UF(which is the way they win games, not with their D) because Florida is very balanced, offensively and defensively.

USC, now thats a different story because their team, while the Offense isn't as explosive as it has been in the past, is balanced enough to matchup well with the Gators.

What was South Carolina top 3 in the nation in? Their offense scores 22 a game which is good for 91st in the country and they give up 20 a game which is 26th.

And Georgia has a decent offense. They score 32 a game which is less than Kansas who are 8th ranked offense of 12 teams in the Big 12.

The argument can be made that the Big 12 offenses look so good b/c the Ds are bad, but you can flip that around on the SEC too. The Ds in the SEC look great, but maybe that is because the offenses aren't top notch. Every offense FL has played avg 20+ points per game less than OU.

yeah. University of Southern California, not South Carolina.

seriously though. South Carolina doesn't even have the 3rd best D in the SEC, where is your source that they are top 3 in the country? S. Carolina has the 4th best pass D in the country, but that's about it. Scoring D is 28th.

I think that OU will give Florida a run for their money, but I think the way the Big XII worked out this year just further proved how effed up the BCS is. Tech is going to go 11-1 and end up out of a BCS bowl more than likely, it's just crazy. I'm a 'Horn fan, so I know they got hosed but I think OU / UF will be a great game. I think if it ended up being OU / 'BAMA it wouldn't be as awesome.

there is a line here that says "harvin did it against the 3rd ranked defense, too"

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...d=200811150067

ctrl+f: defense

its possible the writer fucked up. most likely the case...

although the preview here: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...d=200811150067

says that i'm right....both articles are from AP, but they're written by 2 diff people. im guessing they WERE 3rd ranked in total defense yards and 10th ranked in scoring defense before they played UF.

so im not fully wrong here

Yeah, Rolle is a great story. He'd probably be a 1st Rd pick this year if he wanted to go pro. It'll be interested to see what's going to happen with him, but a great story nonetheless.

yeah, man, i cant even imagine having to make that decision. i think it shows his family is probably also in good enough financial standing for him not to have to go to the nfl...or they can hold off long enough for him to pursue a career in the nfl or even be a successful scientist thing guy(whatever he's studying for...its hardcore)

He wants to be a neuroscientist. It's a pretty interesting career choice for anyone, let alone a football playe

Different note: Heat, you concerned about Harvin not being able to go in the SEC champhionship game? Your offense will still be dangerous, but man. . .there goes a HUGE weapon and explosiveness from the "O."
