Born 1967 in Kiel, Germany. Lives and works in London. She is discribed as a abstract portrait painter, which basically means she uses the composition of portrait paintings but has no representational figuration within them. She also titles all her paintings with random names, as if they are portraits of someone. Fun stuff.

Yves Klein for example figured how to order (they were not painters after all) naked ladies about covered in blue paint (International Klein Blue his own colour) , getting them to rubbing up on things in front of an "art" audience, with an string quartet accompaniment (to class it up) no less. All he had to do was convince them it was art, and now it is Art History. Beautiful.

1965, Bremen (Germany). Lives and works in Berlin (Germany). Paints (cloaks in darkness) from movie stills and photographs, usually of something fucked up or worrisome. Another of my current faves. Generally works in oils.
Some work is in charcoal. Like this two:

Elizabeth Peyton (born 1965) is an American painter who rose to popularity in the mid-1990s. She is a contemporary artist best known for stylized and idealized portraits of her close friends and boyfriends, pop celebrities, and European monarchy.
In other words, she paints elfin portraits of various celebrities she likes. Her paint handling is awesome though, and makes up for the darth of subject.
