holy fuck, that snake sent a shiver down my spine. i'm not one to be afraid of snakes, hell i actually like them a lot, but that just creeps me the fuck out for some reason

  Python Bursts After Eating Gator  An alternative theory was put forth in a September 16, 2006 Explorer episode on the National Geographic Channel. An animated recreation of the python-alligator battle suggests that the python might have survived its massive meal but that a second gator came to the rescue and bit off the snake's head. The force of the tussle, the new theory says, is what caused the python to burst.

all of these pics make me want to keep my feet off the floor.
i once saw a documentary about monkeys battling for territory. one group had a rival trapped in a tree, desperately holding a branch. they proceeded to tear it a part while it screamed and clutched the branch for dear life.

For those that haven't already seen it; The Battle at Kruger.
This is about as mad as it gets, and has pretty much everything you could ever want to see, as far prey/predator relationships go. This is one of my all time favourite pieces of the natural world. I just wish the BBC were there with Attenborough instead of some dude on a handheld, but anyway, it's incredible footage; It gets crazier by the minute.
